Look, there is a reason why I was and remain a big fan of Ron DeSantis and hope to see him in the White House.
First and foremost, he is extraordinarily competent, understands the difference between good policy and bad, and shares my values.
But I also glory in his remarkable, even glorious, takedowns of leftists and especially leftist journalists. He takes their incoming fire, which always misses, and shoots a howitzer of truth and logic at them in return.
Just the facts, and the data to back it up, from memory. No script no notes. https://t.co/gW0Zj6j4fz

Leftists have been pushing the ridiculous claim that the current hurricane season proves that global warming/climate change is happening and endangering the world. It is unscientific, ahistorical, and pure propaganda. I say the latter not because every idiot really knows they are shoveling s**t in the public consciousness but because they are parroting those who are. The people at the top pushing out the narrative know that they are engaged in a power play and money grab, even if the useful idiots they brainwash don't.
DeSantis knows his stuff--and can calmly but authoritatively shred any of these narratives. Rather than getting into a spitting match with the activist journalist, he humiliates him by rattling off his off-the-top-of-his-head knowledge about the history of hurricanes in Florida.
He even knows the barometric pressures experienced in past hurricanes, from memory. The reporter couldn't match him in knowledge or earned authority because all he has is ridiculous talking points.
Watch the video again and look at the relief experts and Guard officers behind him. They are all unconsciously nodding their heads, clearly confident their commander (as DeSantis is) knows his stuff and has the right and ability to be in charge. They would follow him into battle without hesitation.
Compare his command presence to Kamala Harris or Democrat star Gretchen Whitmer. Let me share a couple of videos. Here's Kamala trying to look in command at FEMA:

Or how about Whitmer today, shilling for Kamala Harris on a feminist podcast?
NEW: Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer feeds a chip to a begging liberal podcaster on her knees in an effort to get more votes for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

Democrats want her to be president one day, and she was a finalist for VP pick for Harris.
I am not knocking them for being women. Tim Walz is a beta male. Joe Biden, in his prime, was stupid but not beta. Tulsi Gabbard is female but alpha as one of my heroes was Margaret Thatcher. There are plenty of women who can command, perhaps fewer than males, but I wouldn't want most men to be president, either. I don't know whether that is because of genetic differences or social circumstances, but since the number of top commanders is near zero, it really doesn't matter. There is only one president, and the only qualifications are strength and competence. Who gives a crap about gender when it really counts, and they can do the job?
One reporter who had tried to get Ron DeSantis to blame #Milton on climate change came back AGAIN.

The result was the same -- not good for him!

DeSantis and J.D. Vance both have the chops. Trump outdoes them in the projection of strength and total dominance--he is the ultimate alpha--but underperforms on knowledge and articulation. He has extraordinary charisma, which is his weakness and superpower. There is a large contingent of the population who HATE alpha males, and he repels them--that is his weakness. There are also a large number of people who are worried about the direction of the country and the world, and appealing to them is his superpower.
I prefer the DeSantis/Vance model because I am a policy guy and perhaps overeducated. I think our problems are complicated enough that we need a bit more subtlety and command of the issues than Trump offers,
Yet if Trump wins on two or three clear and essential issues, it will be easier to fix the others, and he has his eye on those issues. So, he may be the right man at the right time if he wins.
A Trump victory will be a turning point. A Trump loss is a disaster. In either case, I am comforted that we have DeSantis and Vance to help us in the future. Both know how to beat our biggest domestic enemy: the Pravda media.
