Since Kamala Won't Tell You Her Policies, Trump Will

There is a simple reason Kamala Harris won't discuss policy, and everybody on the left including the mainstream media are breathing a sign of relief.

It's pretty simple: the few policies she has released as a candidate have been ridiculously destructive, and the ones she has shut up about are going to be worse. Imagine what every billionaire donor thought when they heard that Harris is coming for their unrealized capital gains.

I think they started making plans to renounce their US citizenship and start investing in Argentina.

Best to shut up, just as it is best not to talk to anybody in the media. There is no upside and a lot of downsides.

Since Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are now selling little besides abortion for all and false joy, Donald Trump's campaign has decided to fill the voice left by Kamala. And since Harris was not always so circumspect about her policy preferences, there is plenty to work with.

The Trump people have been smart and not given a huge laundry list of Kamala's worst hits. Instead they have created a "Top 9" list of issues that hit middle class Americans in the gut.

This is not a list of Americans' highest priorities, and it is certainly a list of policies that Kamala Harris has advocated for years. One of the advantages of running against a San Francisco liberal is that you don't have to decode anything, use hyperbole, or read between the lines to reveal how crazy they are.

Kamala Harris is crazy, as is Tim Walz.

I could add a substantial number of issues that I think are important, but the shotgun approach is a mistake. Harris' embrace of gender ideology, mutilation of children, Queering nuclear weapons, and a laundry list of social issues get me angry, but most Americans are focused on the bread and butter issues that hit them right at home.

Crime, the border, and the economy are top of mind for most people. Gender ideology is not, even if in the long run queering the next generation is a road to societal ruin. When everything is going to hell right here and right now, everything else becomes a marginal issue.

Bidenomics, the border, and the decay of our cities are things people feel every day, see around them, and no amount of gaslighting can hide the problems. If you have a job and are worried about losing it or are unable to afford the groceries you need to live then drag queen story hour seems like a pretty petty thing to focus on.

Since I don't live in a swing state I really can't judge the effectiveness of Trump's campaign because I don't see the real nuts and bolts. I see the ads because people post them on Twitter, but I don't see the targeting, the frequency, and what Harris is saying.

The campaign isn't national, so if you aren't in the key swing states you aren't really seeing it either. We get to see the rallies, the interviews, the quips and jokes, but not the direct appeal that those voters see. We don't see what Independents are seeing in those states through targeted ads, and that is by far the most important group to whom tens of millions of dollars in advertising is targeted.

This election will be decided by a few hundred thousand people. This website gives us an idea of what Trump's messaging to them will be.

But don't be fooled. Unless you live in a vital swing region, you are just seeing the tip of the iceberg.

Still, this list tells you what Trump wants swing voters to focus on, and it is a pretty darn good list of issues.
