Kamala Harris' campaign is aimed exclusively at women.
Not just women but mostly unmarried women with the AWFLs thrown in.
Sure, she will get plenty of votes from men, but for the most part, they are "Vote Blue No Matter Who" men. There is no man anywhere in the world who will be persuaded by Kamala's campaign to vote for her because she isn't even asking for their vote, no less giving anyone a reason to vote for her.
The vibes are very female.
Similarly, Trump's campaign is aimed at men, although he will likely win the votes of married women for very practical reasons. They care about peace and prosperity, are worried about the direction of the culture, and see threats to their children. Trump's policies have improved their lives.
But Trump, to many of them, is personally repulsive or at the least unattractive. There are exceptions, of course, but Trump's "vibes" appeal is very masculine, and J.D. Vance projects similar vibes.
Gender, in the pre-alphabet ideology sense, has always played an important role in voting patterns. If you think I am sexist for suggesting that estrogen and testosterone are proxies for voting behavior, you haven't payed attention to the data. Everybody knows there is a "gender gap" in voting patterns, so quit expecting me and others to pretend that masculine and feminine are terms that shouldn't be used to describe politics.
It's not sexist. It is reality. Parents vote Republican. Married people, including women, vote Republican. It is unmarried women who skew Democrat and by a wide margin.
Those are Kamala Harris voters, and she is campaigning mainly to them, which is why she is running a campaign on abortion and almost nothing else and is leaning toward celebrities who are generally feminine icons.
It's the Megan Thee Stallion versus Hulk Hogan election.
Even White Dudes for Harris is all about Kamala Harris being female. It's basically Simps who are burnishing their feminist creds, and if you have seen clips from the Zoom call, it's obvious that this is the case. Kamala is even dubbed "Momala," although she is actually childless. The nickname emphasizes her gender, not her social role.
I'm not critiquing either campaign or even expressing approval for Trump over Harris for his approach. In fact, my wife and I joke that instead of being the "strong, silent type," I am the "weak and effusive" type of man. I'm not that bad, but I am hardly a He-man, and I never liked professional wrestling. It baffles me.
Instead, I am pointing out the essential dynamic of this race and the nature of the battlefield. This election is the battle of the sexes and to a lesser extent the battle of the married vs the unmarried.
The Democrats are the anti-natal party, and they worship sexuality as the most essential human expression. The White House is bedecked with Pride colors for a month and basically ignores family and parenting. Kamala has even praised women for NOT having children because it is environmentally sound.
Trump is the sexual conquest guy who has children from multiple women, and he loves to be around not just feminine but obviously hot women.
No campaign in our history has ever been this gendered, although gender has always played a large role in modern politics.
This time around everything boils down to female issues and vibes vs masculine issues and vibes. And more specifically young, unmarried women vs everybody else who cares about family.
Once you see it you can't unsee it.
