A month ago Joe Biden, at 81, was fit as a fiddle, sharp as a tack, and able to leap tall buildings at a single bound. Any dissent about these assertions was mere "ageism," you bigot!

Now that Biden is out of the race, Trump is far too old to be president and should be rejected on that basis alone. You needn't even think about his supposed admiration for Hitler, plans for reeducation camps, and desire to round up MSNBC hosts. 

Sadly, Trump is just too old to be president.

Between the debate and last Sunday, the media had a task: get Joe Biden out of the race, and his age and mental fitness were the tools they used. He went from "superager" to mentally unfit in moments. The facts didn't change; the needs of the regime did. 

Criticizing Biden before the debate was ageism. Now, ageism is all the rage. 

Now, Donald Trump is far too old to be president, despite his being about the same age as Biden when he ran for president in 2020. 

Trump may not be fit, but he is tough. He took a bullet and sprang back up to yell, "Fight!" This line of attack isn't just hypocritical, it is moronic.

I happen to believe that septuagenarians are not the ideal candidates for running a country, but until 15 minutes ago, octagenarians were doing backflips in the White House while reading Homer in Greek. The very last people who can make this case credibly are the very people who are, and they are doing it both shamelessly and without ridicule from the MSM.

Of course, age was never the issue with Biden--it was his lack of ability to think coherently. He was and remains senile. So senile, in fact, that there are now (unconfirmed) reports in the New York Post that Biden finally dropped out when the Democrat establishment threatened to remove him from office via the 25th Amendment.

It is fascinating to watch the Narrative™ change in real-time. It is literally something out of Orwell's 1984. 

Over the next few months, we will be treated to what they call a natural experiment: the Establishment is testing the proposition that they can brainwash an entire country within the span of a few weeks. 

In the old reality Kamala was a widely disliked harridan whose competence at her job could be compared to Secret Service Director Cheatle; now she is competence reborn. 

Not too long ago, age was only a number. Now it is disqualifying for Donald Trump.

Democrats and the mainstream media have infinite faith in their ability to control The Narrative™, and with good reason. They have successfully perpetrated hoax after hoax without negative consequences and have now successfully deposed not one but two presidents of the United States in the span of 3 years.

Perhaps. But the latest "success" they had with deposing Biden wasn't in the original plan. They were intended to carry Biden over the finish line and had to scramble all their resources to push Biden out, and if the Post is right they only succeeded by using what amounted to political brute force.

In other words, the Democrats and the MSM failed in their original "brainwashing" campaign because reality broke through the Truman Show they created, and it's not clear they can recreate the Truman Show effect between now and November 5th. 

Convincing Joe Biden to leave was relatively easy compared to convincing hundreds of millions of Americans that Kamala Harris is Barack Obama 2.0.

The "Trump is old" meme has the virtue of being true, of course, but the "Kamala is the next generation" meme has the vice of being ridiculous. 

Of course, the Democrats have hundreds of millions of dollars to sell the idea and the full backing of the mainstream media. Perhaps it might work.

I think so. But then again, the sheer relief of Biden being out of the race will reinvigorate the people who just want to believe.

Will those Americans seize on Kamala as proof that our long national nightmare is over and we can get back to pretending that our regime is not populated by corrupt, self-serving incompetents?
