One of the most common memes on Twitter these days is Orwell being shocked that 2024 makes 1984 seem tame.

As with most memes, the strategic use of hyperbole helps drive home a legitimate point: the mainstream media and our political class are doing their best to edit how we perceive the world to make it appear radically different from reality.

Well, the meme is not hyperbole. If anything, it understates the amount of gaslighting going on these days. 

Karine Jean-Pierre wants every Democrat and Independent to believe that they have been brainwashed by the Republican National Committee and Fox News, which by the way, statistically, almost nobody has ever watched. There are about 3 million Fox News viewers, more or less, out of 360 million people, and the RNC has 570,000 followers on Twitter. 

Compare that to the number of watchers and readers for every outlet in the MSM.

There are few people in America who haven't figured out that Biden has lost a step or ten, and despite what Karine Jean-Pierre tells us this sense is not based on "deep fake" videos that portray Biden as senile when in fact, he is the bestest, smartest, sharpest, most compassionate man in the room. 

Biden is slipping into senility, and anybody who has dealt with an elder who has slipped into senility knows that.

That Karine Jean-Pierre feels comfortable saying something this absurd in a room full of supposed journalists says quite a bit about how ready they all are to let the administration lie to the American people about something so obvious that everybody can see it. That it becomes a talking point repeated endlessly in an attempt to get us to deny what our lying eyes see every time Biden opens his mouth is a remarkable indictment of the entire class.

They are regime media, no better than North Korean reporters. And many Democrats will talk behind closed doors about how Biden has declined while going on national TV to declare Biden to be sharper than any person who has ever existed.

I sort of understand why Morning Joe spends so much time fluffing for the president--apparently Joe Scarborough is Biden's favorite political pundit, and being adored by the president has its advantages if you like powerful people to suck up to you.

But that doesn't excuse every other MSM mouthpiece repeating the BS line that Biden is sharp and that the videos of him wandering off, mouthing nonsense, and knocking heads with the pope are fake. 

It takes a special kind of chutzpah to claim real videos are fake, and that the Pope wasn't shocked at Biden's bizarre behavior. 

When the Prime Minister of Italy has to fetch the President of the United States as he wanders off into a field for all the world to see, you would think insisting that all is well would elicit a laugh from everybody. But it doesn't, at least from Democrats who honestly believe that words are magic. 

Call a man a "woman," and he becomes a woman. Call Biden Sharp; he is a genius. 

All a reporter had to do was ask Karine Jean-Pierre which videos of Biden being senile are “cheap fakes”…and not a single one did.

The American people aren't this stupid, or at least this kind of stupid. A lot of people will vote for Biden out of loyalty, hatred, fear, or pecuniary interest. 

But nobody believes that Biden is sharp.
