JK Rowling to Scottish Speech Fascists: 'Arrest Me'

JK Rowling is challenging the Scottish police to arrest her.

Her crime? Hate speech is now illegal in Scotland after a new law went into effect. And her Twitter thread calling men claiming to be women "men" is a clear violation of that law.

Clear. Unambiguous. Not even a shadow of a doubt.

She broke the law and wants to be arrested. And who could blame her? As a billionaire with a cause, she could blaze the trail for the civil rights of her fellow so-called TERFS.

Rowling gets death threats every day for the simple crime of saying the obvious: men who put on a dress are not suddenly women, and women deserve to have their own private spaces. These are truths that literally everybody but the mentally ill knows, but in Scotland, it is now illegal to say it. The Narrative™ is THE LAW.

Come and get me, copper!

Admittedly, it takes less physical courage for Rowling to take a stand than for an ordinary lass or bloke who can't afford a team of lawyers and PR flaks, but Rowling has put all she can on the line, and my hat is off to her. She may be a Lefty, but she is on team reality and deserves every bit of respect we can give her. It is no small thing she is doing.

The irony is that Rowling's actual views on transgenderism is pretty moderate. She is deeply sympathetic to people suffering gender dysphoria. She just doesn't buy the argument that their mental illness gives them the right to invade the spaces of biological women. And she gives no space at all to those who force women to endure sharing spaces with violent sex offenders, as if happening around the world, including America.

Rowling's epic Twitter thread on so-called women was a terrific setup for a short essay she posted at the end of the list of fake women.

It was a manifesto. A woman with a position of authority and a big megaphone standing against the Establishment and the power of the state and daring them to come get her.

It wasn't quite the Tienamen Square Tank Man moment, thank God for small favors, but luckily the forces of oppression in Scotland haven't gotten there by a long shot. Instead, Rowling's stand was about stopping the tanks before they ever move out, metaphorically speaking.

That the state can put people in jail for uttering a simple truth is appalling.

That this is applauded widely by all the "best people" is truly frightening. And it isn't just Scotland. Canada is considering a law that could land a person in jail for life for "hate speech."

It is insane.

In passing the Scottish Hate Crime Act, Scottish lawmakers seem to have placed higher value on the feelings of men performing their idea of femaleness, however misogynistically or opportunistically, than on the rights and freedoms of actual women and girls. The new legislation is wide open to abuse by activists who wish to silence those of us speaking out about the dangers of eliminating women's and girls’ single-sex spaces, the nonsense made of crime data if violent and sexual assaults committed by men are recorded as female crimes, the grotesque unfairness of allowing males to compete in female sports, the injustice of women’s jobs, honours and opportunities being taken by trans-identified men, and the reality and immutability of biological sex.

For several years now, Scottish women have been pressured by their government and members of the police force to deny the evidence of their eyes and ears, repudiate biological facts and embrace a neo-religious concept of gender that is unprovable and untestable. The re-definition of 'woman' to include every man who declares himself one has already had serious consequences for women's and girls’ rights and safety in Scotland, with the strongest impact felt, as ever, by the most vulnerable, including female prisoners and rape survivors.

It is impossible to accurately describe or tackle the reality of violence and sexual violence committed against women and girls, or address the current assault on women’s and girls’ rights, unless we are allowed to call a man a man. Freedom of speech and belief are at an end in Scotland if the accurate description of biological sex is deemed criminal.

I'm currently out of the country, but if what I've written here qualifies as an offence under the terms of the new act, I look forward to being arrested when I return to the birthplace of the Scottish Enlightenment.

I doubt the Scottish government has the balls to arrest JK Rowling, but by throwing down the gauntlet Rowling is now in a position to pound on the government every time they arrest anybody on hate speech issues.

She can taunt them. She can, and I hope she does, fund the lawyers for victims of the Scottish state. She can commit the offense of telling the truth daily, and at some point, the government will have to relent. Either arrest her or declare defeat.

The lie is unsustainable. And what will bring things to a head is people disobeying en masse.

They can't arrest them all.

So speak up, and get your friends to as well.
