Australian City Councilwoman Suspended For Saying 'Transwomen Are Biological Men'

Across the Anglo-American world, cities are standing up and speaking out about Israel's conflict with Hamas.

t's a controversial topic, but when rapists, murderers, hostage-takers, and psychopaths need support, Leftists are there to stand with them.

Standing up for women, though? That is a bridge too far. It's Nazi-adjacent or something, and any politician who takes the side of women who insist on biological reality need to be driven out of office.

That, at least, is the reality for one City Councillor in Australia, who was suspended from her seat for uttering the hateful words that "transwomen are transwomen and remain biological men."

Perhaps if she had called for the gassing of Jews or something, she could have been forgiven, but as it is, her opinions were so far beyond the pale that she had to be removed.

At the Let Women Speak event, Ms. Elliot said “transwomen are transwomen and remain biological men,” among other comments, sparking claims she incited hatred towards transgender women.

In addition, she said it is unfair and unsafe for biological men to compete in women’s sporting categories, especially after puberty and in physical sports.

In late January 2024, Ms. Elliot said she was suspended from Hobart City Council in relation to a code of conduct complaint made against her, and is appealing the decision at the Hobart Magistrates Court.

“The paperwork I received was emphasised as confidential with a penalty of $10,000 for speaking about it, yet the Lord Mayor is telling the world: One rule for me, one rule for others, it seems,” Ms. Elliot said.

“I don’t follow the woke, politically correct, super-safe narratives that career politicians feel they need to for their own self-preservation. I say what’s true and my fair opinion, and many people agree with me.”

Let's assume, for the moment, that Ms. Elliot's statement is not an indisputable fact that any biological textbook would have asserted not more than 10 minutes ago, and concede that there is active controversy on the topic.

Then what? I still fail to see the "hate speech." What I do see is a challenge to the alphabet ideology that has taken over the Western world.

People--including politicians--can chant "From the River to the Sea Palestine must be free"--a clear and indisputable call for the elimination of the state of Israel, spoken in the context of a genocidal attack on Israelis--and be applauded by mobs of masked people in kaffiyahs on the street.

But state that women are women and should have private spaces? You are a hateful person who can be fined $10,000.

Now, imagine the words that have been used to criticize her or people who have shared the same opinion. What hateful insults are hurled at "gender critical" women for not mouthing the falsehoods demanded of them by the alphabet crowd?

I think we can rest assured that none of them will lose their jobs or be fined $10,000.
