Revealed: Why 'UN Women' Took 55 Days to Condemn Hamas Rapes

It was no surprise that the United Nations refrained from condemning Hamas’ attack on Israel.

The UN is a morally bankrupt institution, and its favorite activity is condemning Israel.

For instance, in 2022, it condemned Israel more times than every other country in the world. On November 8th of this year, it condemned Israel 8 times without criticizing another country. 8-0. For the UN, Israel serves one purpose: to be the whipping boy for the world, absorbing punishment for the sins of everybody else.

Still, after the brutality of Hamas’ attacks on 10/7, which included the rape and torture of women and children, one might have expected the UN’s agency focused on women’s rights to condemn Hamas for its crimes. UN Women, surely, could oppose using rape as an instrument of war.

Right? RIGHT?!

Yeah, well, no. Or rather, it took nearly two months for the organization to take a stunning and brave stance against raping women hard enough to break their pelvises.

Even I, a cynic about the UN and our entire transnational elite, was taken aback by this failure. After all, it was a layup. Rape bad.

So why didn’t it happen until the criticism of the organization was so harsh that they had to say something?

Well, it turns out that the organization’s Deputy Chief (as well as her husband) are huge supporters of the Palestinian cause. So much so that Sarah Douglas holds Zoom meetings with pro-Palestinian posters behind her, and her husband is an outright Palestinian rights activist.

They are, in other words, open Israel haters. Douglas is a big fan of the vile organization Jewish Voice for Peace and likes tweets that accuse Israel of “genocide.”

This is her husband from a social media post:

Given these facts, it is no surprise that UN Women carved out a “rape and torture” exception for Hamas, giving them a pass on their completely understandable misogynistic attacks.

Raping women may be bad, Douglas would admit, but Israelis are only Jews and hence not off limits.

Lest you think that the criticisms of Israel have everything to do with compassion for Palestinians and nothing to do with antisemitism, think back to those facts about the UN I opened with. Israel takes more criticism from the United Nations than the rest of the world combined. Massacres are taking place throughout the Middle East, including the deaths of hundreds of thousands in Syria and Yemen–combined, about a million people have died in recent years.

Crickets.

This photo is of a bombed-out Palestinian refugee camp in Syria, not Gaza. Nobody cares. You can find thousands more like it, and the world shrugs.

There are no Jews to blame.
