Yale American Studies professor justifies Hamas attacks

Harvard, Yale, and all the “best” academic institutions have been fatally compromised for decades. At some point, they went full anti-American, anti-Western, and radical revolutionary.

Every time you hear “decolonize,” “diversity,” or “systemic whatever,” know that what they are saying is that they support revolutionary violence. That is literally what they mean.

Sure, it’s true that not every person who teaches or works at an academic institution is an insane hater of all that is good and decent, but the administrations at those institutions are working hard to make it so. The institutions as a whole are rabidly anti-Western, and in many cases that means that they embrace a hostility to human rights in the way that you and I understand them.

They often talk about “diversity,” “human rights,” and other fluffy things that sound good to people who don’t know what they mean, but every time you see some activist screaming in anger or getting violent, know that their vision of “rights” includes only the people they consider worthy.

They are Maoists, and the institutions are filled with them. Think BLM and how much support they got.

Larry Summers, former president of Harvard, expressed his disgust with his old institution the other day after the only statements coming from the University were pro-Hamas declarations. This was common across the academic world.

Yet another example comes from Harvard’s rival, Yale, where an “American Studies” professor who proudly declares herself a radical Muslim, tweeted out her support for Hamas and the atrocities it committed.

Grewal has a right to her opinion. But know that her opinion has been solicited again and again by major media organizations, and is in an important way backed up by Yale University itself, which hired her knowing that she is a radical Islamist and all that this implies.

I hardly think that they would have done so if she were a White Supremacist or some other vile ideological adherent. They hired her to teach her hatred to the best and the brightest. The New York Times, Washington Post, the Atlantic, and NPR have all solicited her “wisdom.”

Time and again we are confronted with statements from the DEI crowd making clear their hatred of vast swathes of our community, and yet we don’t take them at their word. We pretend that they are simply expressing anger at being “oppressed,” although many of these “oppressed” people have positions of power and prestige at our most powerful institutions.

They aren’t exactly the poor, huddled masses. But then again, neither were the leaders of most of the hateful revolutions that have destroyed so many lives.

The most perplexing and infuriating thing to me about this movement is how the American liberal elite tolerates, even embraces these savages and embraces their causes, as if the savages weren’t just as determined to oppress the elite as anybody else.

They do so because these radicals are the shock troops of the Democrat Party. They intimidate the rest of us into submission, or at least try. When Maxine Waters or Nancy Pelosi talk about uprisings we think these are metaphors. Perhaps, to Pelosi, it is. Perhaps not.

Our elite institutions are rotten to the core, and I am perplexed that so many people haven’t figured that out. Perhaps Professor Grewel will get punished or at least pushback for her extremism, but that really means little in the grand scheme of things. What matters is that Yale sought her out and hired her, and our elite news organizations sought her out and amplified her voice.

One extremist tells us little; the embrace of that extremist tells us what we need to know.

The Democratic Socialists of America have stood up with full-throated support of Hamas, as have so many other Leftists. This is who they are: people who see no problem with raping women and burning people alive–because they believe that only the “right” people should be treated as human beings.

And only they and theirs are the right people.

Many elites will scramble to undo some of the public relations damage done by their speaking aloud what they think in private, but make no mistake: this is indeed what they think.

They are, as I said before, enemies in our midst.
