Politico faced a big problem yesterday when James Comer dropped a new tranche of data proving that vast sums of money flowed into the Biden family during his Vice Presidency, linking the family to Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs with whom Vice President Biden had officials dealings.

At least $20 million has flowed to Biden family members from foreign sources, and the only thing they could have been buying is access to Joe Biden and his influence.

Politico didn’t even bother to make a ridiculous attempt at debunking the information. It is what it is, and there is nothing much one can say to debunk it.

Instead, they went for the ever-popular “We see no evidence here that Joe Biden got a direct payment from Hunter’s paymasters.”

Now I don’t know about you, but it seems highly suspicious to me that tens of millions of dollars are flowing into the pockets of the Vice President’s family at a time when he is deeply involved in policy issues that have a direct influence on the fortunes of the people sending those dollars.

It might raise an eyebrow or two.

The defenses of Biden from his media shills get more ridiculous all the time. Let’s remind ourselves of the changing claims:

• Joe Biden didn’t even know what Hunter was doing
• Joe Biden has a vague sense but never discussed business with Hunter
• Joe Biden never talked to Hunter’s business partners
• Joe Biden talked to them, but only about the weather
• Joe Biden met with Hunter’s business partners but it had nothing to do with Hunter
• Prove that those millions of dollars went directly to Joe or it is all fine and dandy.

Really?! You are going to go with that? And call yourself a journalist?

I could understand Karine Jean-Pierre or Congressional Democrats trotting out this tripe–I see it every day. You could have Joe Biden counting a bundle of bills handed to him by Putin and they would claim that he was playing bank teller with Vlad. That is their job as they see it.

But journalists would at least be expected to pretend a bit.

Politico caught a lot of flak for their tweet, so they replaced it with one less obviously sycophantic:

All is well and good, but the story itself keeps claiming that there is no certified ironclad PROOF that Joe got a direct payment as if anybody needs to prove that in the first place. It is not even required as an element of the law, first of all, as payments to family members can be evidence of bribery, and we already know that Joe and Hunter shared finances.

But the memo, the third Comer has released so far this year, also doesn’t show a direct payment to Joe Biden. And Oversight Republicans, in the memo, are indicating that they don’t believe they have to.

“President Biden’s defenders purport a weak defense by asserting the Committee must show payments directly to the President to show corruption,” Republicans write in the memo, characterizing Biden family members as the “vehicle to receive bribery payments.”

“This is a hollow claim no other American would be afforded if their family members accepted foreign payments or bribes. Indeed, the law recognizes payments to family members to corruptly influence others can constitute a bribe,” the memo from Comer’s staff adds.

Comer added that “it appears no real services were provided other than access to the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself,” referring to Hunter Biden’s work related to foreign business.

A benefit to Hunter in such circumstances is direct, in his pocket benefit to Joe. If they share a bank account then the money did INDEED go directly to Joe. And, of course, Hunter famously said he supported his father financially and paid his bills. Do you need a certified check made out to Joe or something?

“Committee Republicans have once again released information on financial transactions that do not involve the president,” said Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), the top Democrat on the committee.

Ian Sams, a White House spokesperson for oversight and investigations, said “Comer’s memo doesn’t show anything about President Biden. And faced with his inability to uncover any evidence that President Biden did anything wrong, Comer is now explicitly moving the goal post.”

He added that “this isn’t the standard set by ‘President Biden’s defenders.’ It’s the standard Comer set for himself and House Republicans, time after time, over and over again, for nearly a year.”

What the hell does that last sentence even mean? The standard is pretty clear: Was there cash flowing into the Biden Crime Family that was paying for improper influence with a Vice President?

Pretty obviously yes. Now they demand a certified check with Joe Biden’s name on it.

This is the whole “illusion of influence” scam they are again trying to sell. Only Joe is meeting with people shipping money to his son and influences policies that directly affect those people. $20 million went into his family’s coffers as he is holding these meetings.

We’ve now identified $20 million in payments from foreign sources to the Bidens and their associates.

During Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter sold him as “the brand." No real services were provided other than access to the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself.

In Spring 2014, a Ukrainian oligarch placed Archer and Biden on the Burisma board of directors and agreed to pay each of them $1 million per year. Then-Vice President Joe Biden visited Ukraine soon after they joined Burisma. Hunter claimed credit for this visit to show “value.”

Follow the money. It really isn’t that difficult.

Everybody in the MSM styles themselves a Woodward or Bernstein when in fact they are all Baghdad Bobs, shilling for the regime. They claim to have “facts” about Donald Trump’s corruption that always turn out to be fiction, but when they get whacked on the head with Biden’s corruption they shout “This is fine.”

To call the MSM shameless is to give them too much credit. They are now in the same camp as those S&M freaks in doggie costumes getting whipped in public during a “family-friendly” Pride parade. They are on all fours, bare-arsed with a leather doggie mask, getting whipped by a Biden as the world watches.

Which, come to think of it, is pretty on-brand for this administration and its defenders.
