Alphabet acronym changes yet again

There are only a few truly consistent articles of faith to be found in the alphabet ideology, and one of them is that there can be no consistency in how the alphabet people are described. Another is that your children are really theirs.

There is a reason for the inconsistency, which I will discuss in a moment. But first, let me catch you up on the latest…

Earlier this month–only 26 days ago–I reported that the Canadian government had reshuffled the acronym for what was just a few moments ago the LGBT “community.” With little warning, the government asked everybody to change the acronym to 2SLGBTQI+, in honor of indigenous people who supposedly had rejected the binary understanding of sex.

They explained the change with a wonderful admission–that there can never be a permanent acronym for the “community” because it is very fluid, sort of destroying the idea that there is any truth to the claim that we are simply recognizing a reality that exists outside the fevered imaginations of the alphabet ideologists.

2SLGBTQI+ terminology and acronyms are continuously evolving. In 2016, the Government of Canada began using the term ‘LGBTQ2.’ The term was applied to the name of the LGBTQ2 Secretariat, the LGBTQ2 Community Capacity Fund, and LGBTQ2 Projects Fund, among other initiatives. LGBTI is often used in an international context. 2SLGBTQQIA+ is the acronym adopted by the 2SLGBTQQIA+ Committee, which contributed to the 2021 Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and the 2SLGBTQQIA+ People National Action Plan.

During the engagement process, 2SLGBTQI+ communities in Canada called for the acronym used by the Government of Canada to be updated. The Government of Canada will adopt and encourage the use of 2SLGBTQI+ as a more inclusive term. This includes changing the name of the LGBTQ2 Secretariat to the 2SLGBTQI+ Secretariat, which is the title used throughout this Action Plan.

That there was an LGBTQ2 Secretariate should have been hardly surprising, I suppose, although I was indeed surprised given that it is impossible to keep up with the absurdities. Reality keeps getting more absurd than even most humorists can imagine, although The Babylon Bee somehow anticipates every single idiotic change before it happens. Kudos to them!

Now, though, the BBC has decided to scramble the alphabet once again, and in record time, which I suppose would impress me if I were exhausted by all this confusion.

This time, probably to the relief of most gay people, the CBC has simply dropped the claim that alphabet ideology has anything at all to do with gay rights–a cause that has won the support of most Westerners these days. There is a new civil rights battle, and gays have nothing to do with it.

The new acronym is 2STNBGC, which certainly rolls off the tongue smoothly. The military is well known for having difficult-to-use acronyms, but apparently, the alphabet people don’t just want to be in the military, they want to outdo it in this realm.

A new report from the representative for children and youth is calling on the provincial government to prioritize the protection of two-spirit and gender-diverse children and youth.

Jennifer Charlesworth said that negative climates and stigma experienced by two-spirit, transgender, non-binary and other gender-diverse children and youth (2STNBGD) is resulting in a higher instance of injury reports associated with suicidality and self-harm for 2STNBGC children and youth who are receiving government services.

“Far too often, young people face a lack of gender-affirming care, support and awareness from health-care providers and society. When this happens, we are failing them, and this must change,” she said.

Elizabeth Saewyc, executive director of the University of British Columbia Stigma and Resilience Among Vulnerable Youth Centre, said a review of research found most 2STNBGD young people face frequent misgendering, long delays in care, lack of access to knowledgeable providers, greater exposure to violence in communities and worse health outcomes than their peers.

“At the same time, a number of relatively simple actions — starting with recognizing their identities and respecting their rights — can make such a difference in their well-being,” said Saewyc.

Now most of the ills to which they are referring have nothing to do with stigma–and the claims about violence are so unsupported by the evidence that statistics show the opposite is the case–transgender/gender diverse people have a lower victimization rate than the general population.

Medical care is likely difficult for “gender diverse” people to get because the medical system is designed to deal with the fact that people generally come in two varieties: male and female. And just as people with unusual diseases must find specialists, so must people on body-changing hormones and who have undergone radical surgeries. This is not discrimination, it is simply a reality that the medical system cannot provide specialty care through every doctor. This is true regardless of your gender identity.

Specialists treat rare things. Enough said.

But regardless of the realities, the more interesting thing about this is the need to constantly change up the language–as the Canadian government says, “2SLGBTQI+ terminology and acronyms are continuously evolving.”

Why? Is reality constantly evolving? Is “settled science” in fact unsettled?

In a word, yes, if you accept alphabet ideology. That evolution is quite important to the cause because it keeps everybody off balance, and provides ever more ways for normal people to “victimize” the alphabet people. You can step on a hidden landmine because some rule was invented yesterday, and you violated it.

And that is “violence” and “genocide.”

Victimization is the way to weaponize compassion, and it works. Everybody not alphabet is victimized, and no matter how hard you try to please them the rules change and you are committing violence.

You are condemned to always be doing the “work,” and the alphabet people are empowered to make you.

That is the underlying reason everything changes by the hour, seemingly. It keeps you under their thumb. It’s not like there is any ambiguity regarding who is being referred to by these acronyms–nobody new is being included. So the changes have nothing to do with anything external being different.

It is a power play. And as you can see, it works.
