US Embassy lectures Brazilians about pronouns

In recent decades the West has been reluctant to lecture to our Brown and Black brothers and sisters, the zes and zirs of the world, the transgender and pangender, and of course the intersex rainbow unicorns who live outside our (now nonexistent) borders. Respect for other cultures was the order of the day.

It was considered rude, and the behavior of colonizers to impose our values, or even preach them, to others.

Thank God we are now past that phase. It is OK to push our values on others, as long as it is in service to woke ideology. Now we are back in business! The Vatican needs a good lesson on trans issues, and we can expect the Saudis to become LGBTQ+ friendly because of our importunations.

The Alphabet Gods demand it.

We have not reached the point where State Department employees are wearing robes and passing out literature to people rushing to catch their flights, but our embassies are now at least tweeting out condescending videos to foreigners about the appropriate use of language.

For instance, the US Embassy in Brazil tweeted out–in ENGLISH–a primer on pronouns. They at least used Portuguese subtitles, although I am unclear whether the made-up English pronouns translate into made-up Portuguese pronouns.

Are pronouns a universal language, like Esperanto? Are pronouns going to be the one true ring to rule all languages, with embassy orcs bringing the new gospel to the world?

Probably not. Given how this State Department guy looks, we are sending out the Dorks, not the Orcs to conquer the world.

Notice how this exercise was not only a language lesson but a lesson about gender identity. Given that Portuguese, as with all the Romance languages, is gendered, I suspect they know a bit about the use of gender in language. And given how much skin the average Brazilian reveals on the beaches, I doubt they have much doubt about what gender identity belongs to each body.

Pronouns are all the rage at the State Department, and are now included not just in the email signatures of State Department employees,  but their actual email addresses, ensuring that everybody must use them in order to even communicate with diplomats. The State Department inserted pronouns into the email addresses of every employee whether they wanted them or not.

In classic government fastion, ironically it managed to “misgender” large numbers of their staff. The automatic system randomly assigned genders, proving that the government cannot even virtue signal well under Joe Biden.

Seems about right, given gender ideology.

The State Department is offering free therapy to “any employee who feels hurt or upset as a result of this unfortunate mistake,” according to an internal email that went out to employees on Friday. Many State Department employees were “triggered” on Thursday, when emails from colleagues suddenly began to include random pronouns, like, “She/her/hers” and “He/Him/His” in the “from” line.

The pronouns were randomly assigned, with men being given female pronouns and vice versa, due to a “pronoun glitch” in the department’s system, the Washington Free Beacon first reported.

Those upset by the misgendering are encouraged to contact the State Department’s Employee Consultation Service “to speak to a professional counselor.”

“I want to stress that the intent behind making this feature available is to make our systems more inclusive and provide employees with options—not to make decisions for them,” Kelly E. Fletcher, the State Department’s chief information officer, wrote in the email. “I recognize that this error had the opposite effect, and again, I am very sorry.”

This being an aggressive, nearly genocidal act, counseling is now being provided at federal expense to the diplomats who were so traumatized that they missed cocktails at the French Embassy. Every posting for diplomats is a hardship posting, including Paris and Washington DC, due to potential pronoun trauma.

Therapy. For pronouns.

America under Joe Biden is becoming a punchline, not a leader of the free world.
