Parents are the enemy now.

They are enemies of their children and enemies of the state. And the MSM is in full propaganda mode attacking the idea that parents should be allowed to raise or protect their children.

It’s a remarkable turn of events, although the Left has foreshadowed it for a long time. The war on parents isn’t new, but it has entered a new phase where the war on the traditional family is entirely out in the open.

Many of us have been warning about this for a long time. The battle against gay marriage was predicated on the idea that legalizing gay marriage instead of recognizing civil unions was part of a long-term offensive against traditional family values. The vast majority of Republican opposition to gay marriage was not against legally recognizing unions between same-sex partners; civil unions were on the table, and civil unions are functionally similar to marriage, with the same legal protections.

Yet the distinction between marriage, which is intended to sanctify the family as a special institution because it defines the nuclear family that generally raises children, and civil unions which define legal rights and privileges would have been maintained. This was violently opposed by the Left, and was not because it undermined gay unions, but because it elevated marriage.

Marriage and families go together, and the destruction of the family has been a goal of the Left for nearly two centuries. Family ties are fundamental and not just focused on the physical needs of children, but their moral formation and ensuring the good of the child. Feeding and housing can be done in orphanages, but orphanages feed only the body and not the soul. Love is not what defines them, but care of the body alone.

This is why we have such visceral disgust for putting kids in orphanages, and do everything we can to get kids into families.

The Left wants kids out of families and always has. Look at what welfare has done to the disadvantaged in our country. Prior to massive welfare programs most children lived in 2 parent households. Ever since the massive explosion of welfare that percentage has plummeted, and that is by design.

There is nothing accidental about this. It was even predicted by Daniel Patrick Moynihan among others as early as 1965. His mistake was assuming that this was an unintended consequence to be avoided. It was not.

We are now at a tipping point where there is an open, full-throated attack on family structures, with schools, social service agencies, the media, academia, and the medical profession deliberately and openly splitting children from their families and defining parents as enemies of the regime.

This is why parents were defined as potential terrorists for questioning school boards.

Minors are “protected from their parents,” so they can be funneled into the meat grinder of transgender-justified sterilization and mutilation.

Minors seeking gender-affirming care in Washington will be protected from the intervention of estranged parents under a measure Gov. Jay Inslee signed into law Tuesday.

The new law is part of a wave of legislation this year in Democratic-led states intended to give refuge amid a conservative movement in which lawmakers in other states have attacked transgender rights and limited or banned gender-affirming care for minors.

Licensed shelters and host homes in Washington had generally been required to notify parents within 72 hours when a minor came into their care. Under the new law, facilities can instead contact the state Department of Children, Youth and Families, which could then attempt to reunify the family if feasible. Youths will also be allowed to stay at host homes — private, volunteer homes that temporarily house young people without parental permission.

“With this bill, Washington leads the way by taking a more compassionate, developmentally appropriate, and reasoned approach to support these youth as they access gender-affirming treatment and reproductive health care services,” Inslee said shortly before signing the measure.

More than a half-dozen states, from New Jersey to Vermont to Colorado, have passed or are considering similar bills or executive orders around transgender health care, civil rights and other legal protections. In Michigan, Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in March signed a bill outlawing discrimination on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation for the first time in her state.

To be honest, transgender ideology is merely an excuse to do this, as the goal has always been to blow up the family. The advantage of transgender ideology is that it provides a “compassionate” and “medical” excuse to push this agenda, giving it the air of legitimacy in many people’s eyes.

If the state simply said “We want to separate children from parents to groom them into shock troops for our agenda” the effort wouldn’t fly. But put a gloss of “saving lives” with “care” and enough liberals just nod along, not wanting to appear retrograde like those evil conservatives.

Stalin set children against their families, as did Mao. The East Germans recruited children as ideological shock troops as well. This is exactly the same thing, as are all the propaganda efforts in the schools.

The entire Left has mobilized to separate parents from the most basic aspects of raising a child. They have classified themselves as the experts, the protectors, the teachers of values, and the secret friends of children.

It’s right there, out in the open. No matter how much you medicalize it, the fact remains that the state is demanding sovereignty over children. They claim they are “listening” to children about “who they really are,” but their goal is to create an identity for children entirely divorced from their parents.

Schools are ideological activist creation mills, not educational institutions. Test scores are going down dramatically, but ideological grooming is going full steam ahead.

The country is becoming ever more divided between Red states, where people are pushing back, and Blue states, where the effort is going full steam ahead.

But Red states aren’t immune. The Left owns the public schools pretty much wherever Democrats can get a foothold, and while they cannot control the state levels, they still infiltrate lower levels of government, especially in the Blue cities.

The majority of the country, including liberals, are made at least queasy by the moves being made. But the constant anti-conservative propaganda makes liberals reflexively afraid to associate themselves with icky people like Matt Walsh.

Only liberals can stop this, though. Conservatives can have big wins at the state level in the Red States, but education colleges are pumping out a radical next generation of teachers who, as the one above, import secret agendas and simply hide from sight while continuing their efforts.

Liberal and moderate parents have to rebel. Conservative parents will move, opt out of public schools, and do everything they can to protect their children. The Left and center are submitting to the cultural revolution. If they all do, we will all be lost as our country crumbles.
