According to the New York City Council there are 80,000 homeless New Yorkers on their streets. It is, by their own assessment, a crisis.

Yet for illegal immigrants arriving in the city, things are pretty good, because the government puts you up in luxury hotels near Times Square, provides free meals, and lets you run wild. You can smoke drugs, get drunk, have sex in hallways, and trash the hotel without repercussions.

And if you don’t like the free food, it just gets thrown out. By the ton, literally.

The problem is so acute that an employee of the (formerly) trendy NYC hotel “Row” has become a whistleblower, filming conditions in the hotel and is risking his job to expose the scandal. He’s no racist–he’s Hispanic himself and worked his way up the economic ladder the right way.

The hotel was closed to allow the city to take it over for migrant housing. It’s no flophouse, either. Located in the theater district and a block off Times Square, it was one of those destination hotels in the heart of the city. It is becoming a dump, though.

“It’s a disgrace,” Row New York City employee Felipe Rodriguez said on Fox News host Laura Ingraham’s show, “The Ingraham Angle.”

“The chaos that we see at the Row today is [caused] by migrants being drunk, drinking all day, smoking marijuana [and] consuming drugs,” Rodriguez said.

He also said that the Row is struggling with “domestic violence” among migrants, young people “having sex in the stairs,” and a fight between a migrant and a hotel security officer.

Who would have guessed that having an open border and “sanctuary cities” would lead to something like this? I thought the whole migrant crisis was parents just struggling to get their kids away from government oppression and terrorism, or something.

No, that would be the interpreters and former US employees we left behind in Afghanistan. Tens of thousands of people we promised to protect if they helped us in the fight against the Taliban–you know, those guys we handed the country back to along with $80 billion in weapons. The guys who kicked girls out of schools and hunt down our former allies.

Instead, we are subsidizing the trashing of our cities by people who come here uninvited.

Now of course not all illegal immigrants are miscreants bent on living off the taxpayers. Many are people who just want a good job and a better future for their kids.

But that is what the legal immigration process is all about. Open borders isn’t the solution, a working immigration system that creates a regular process that ensures only the good guys get in is the only way to ensure that our country isn’t overrun with fentanyl and criminals.

Latin America has the highest murder rate in the world. It is where the drugs killing Americans are smuggled in from. And Biden just opened the border and is now subsidizing the trashing of America.

It’s disgusting.
