Now that the 2022 midterms are over, it is Democrat whinging about voter suppression season again.

Put up the appropriate decorations. I believe that the costume for this holiday is white robes and burning crosses or something.

The harridans of The View are already on the case, attacking Governor DeSantis for his massive deployment of the National Guard to keep minorities from voting in the Sunshine State. He is a modern-day George Wallace, ready to deploy attack dogs and fire hoses to keep the brave and under-represented voters of the progressives away from the polls.

He even had the ballots counted expeditiously. Something is deeply wrong with that, I am certain. Florida needs to be more like Arizona, Nevada, and California, where they can count the votes with abaci and clay tablets like civilized people.

Ron DeSantis is the new George Wallace. Ask any paid shill for the Democrats in Florida. Only avoid the hispanics (I mean latinx) voters, because they are now white-adjacent or something. Except if they vote Democrat, then they get intersectional oppression points.

You have to hand it to the Democrats. They are so shameless that they can change their Narrative on a dime. They are modern-day Stalins without a moment’s hesitation changing either their story or history itself.

I am old enough to remember when Bill Clinton discovered that utter shamelessness was a superpower. He became a political X-Man by realizing that lying, cheating and stealing are assets for Democrats when they are done out in the open as long as you simply ignore the criticism. He sold access, sexually harassed and perhaps raped women, took Chinese money, and ruined an intern’s dress without a consequence.

In fact, a female reporter offered him sexual favors for defending abortion. It really was a great deal to be a shameless Democrat. I am sure he took her up on the offer. She even bragged about it to Mirabella magazine. She covered the president and said she swooned in his presence. But she remained objective. Uh huh.

Leftists.

Voter suppression is a great narrative for Democrats. There is precisely no way to look for it, quantify it, prove that it doesn’t exist, and the least impediment to voters in the name of ballot integrity is ripe for an accusation. When we tried to put voter ID into law here in Minnesota the Democrats could trot out the one-legged zero-armed blind kazoo player who would have to spend an extra 5 seconds to vote because of some provision as a victim of the proposal.

You couldn’t imagine the objections. Free IDs provided–ID creation in people’s homes for free–no matter what concessions to ridiculous scenarios voter ID was suppression. I am surprised that the Democrats didn’t just come out and say that voting for anybody but a Democrat was the result of voter suppression or coercion. Because that is precisely what they meant.

David Hogg has also picked up his banner and run with it, only he is charging into battle under the guise of protecting the youth vote. Last I checked the 26th Amendment to the United States Constitution establishes 18 as the voting age. Changing that through legislation could only be accomplished by Democrats, because they are the only ones who think the Constitution isn’t worth the paper it is printed on.

Some of us still respect the law.

Mark my words if republicans try to suppress the youth vote by passing youth voter suppression laws it will result in the highest youth voter turnout in American history.

The utter shamelessness of the Democrats is a wonder to behold. They will literally say anything to frighten their voters and slander Republicans–and their media allies will give them a megaphone to do so.

Stacey Abrams built a political career based upon this sort of lie, being declared the legitimate Governor of Georgia by nearly every establishment Democrat in the country. The Left slandered Brian Kemp, and it took a complete humiliation to make Abrams concede this time around, albeit with some grumbling still about voter suppression and the misinforming of Black men by the massive propaganda machine that Black men are known to listen to.

It is extremely difficult to remain charitably inclined in such an environment. I expect Democrats to be liars and generally retain my equanimity when they spew hateful nonsense. Or at least I pretend to.

But as for the “news” media–it is hard not to actively despise them. They pretend to be anything but what they are: liars and propagandists. We grew up trained to expect politicians to be such, but we also were taught that the news reporters would report without “fear or favor.”
