It’s on in New Hampshire. Team Romney does their homework, this time around using a McCain ad from 2000 in which he compared GW Bush to Clinton en route to reminding voters that McCain has been bad on taxes and amnesty for illegals. Left out is the fact that Bush, like McCain, also supported amnesty. But Bush isn’t on the ballot. The subtext here is that Maverick has been around longer, but probably too long, and I’m the more reliable conservative.

In that vein, National Review’s endorsement makes its second appearance in a Romney ad.
