The polls sort of agree with Gingrich: Obama leads in Iowa and Clinton’s national lead has shrunk since the licenses for illegals debacle, which already seems like it was years ago. When she goes on the offensive against her rivals, it’s just offensive and doesn’t help her much. Her campaign trotted out a couple of gradeschool essays by Obama, then tried the “botched joke” defense that worked so well for John Kerry when they got mocked for trying to use Obama’s permanent school record against him. All around, the Glacier is showing signs of melt.

On the other hand, her campaign has yet to actually fail. She still leads by 17 nationally and holds a strong lead in New Hampshire. She could give Iowa away and still win the thing.
