Sunday morning talking heads

The big news is obviously the summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. All major shows are in Singapore or will have reports from Singapore. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham and New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez will be on “This Week,” while Massachusetts Senator Edward Markey will be on “Face the Nation.”

California Senator Dianne Feinstein will be on CNN’s “State of the Union” and it will be curious to see if she faces any questions regarding November opponent Kevin de Leon or if she’ll talk North Korea, Russia, trade, etc. No doubt Graham and Menendez will discuss the summit and the hullabaloo of the G7 Summit. Especially since Trump tweeted the U.S. wouldn’t sign the communique at the end of the summit “based on [Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s] false statements at his news conference.”

That tweet will also result, no doubt, in questions to White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow, who is doing a double shot on “Face the Nation” and “State of the Union.” National Trade Council President Peter Navarro, will be on “Fox News Sunday,” to discuss whether a trade war is going to happen between the U.S. and everyone else.

Also of interest: “Face the Nation” will have Ken Starr and Susan Rice as guests, while “Fox News Sunday” will speak to former Ambassador Robert Gallucci, who had previous interactions with North Korea, and author Gordon Chang, who has written about North Korea’s nuclear program.

Wondering where “Meet the Press” is? It’s being pre-empted by the Men’s Final of the French Open between Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem.
