Michelle Obama: Running for president out, creating "thousands of mes" in

Rest easy, America. Former First Lady Michelle Obama has no dreams of running for president. Or, so she says. She claims she is enjoying her work through the Obama Foundation, meeting and encouraging young leaders to step up and take over the world. Then she sends a shiver up my spine as she says it is more important to create “thousands of mes”.

“This is why I’m not going to run for president,” she said. “Because I think it’s a better investment to invest in creating thousands of mes.”

Rather than having one “Michelle Obama” vying for the presidency, she hopes to help more people get into leadership positions.

“We don’t need just one — we need thousands and thousands,” Obama said.

Speaking at an event in New York, she went on to say, “As an older leader, I think an important part of leadership is stepping out of the way and making room,” Michelle Obama said.  Did you hear that, Hillary Clinton?  Sounds like a swipe at old Hill. Just get off the stage already. Continuing on with her remarks, Mrs. Obama also gets a bit snarky about the need to give others the chance and bring in new energy.

‘If Barack and I just keep sitting in the same seats and trade seats, like, “Now it’s your turn. Now it’s my turn. Now it’s Sasha’s turn,” then we’re not finding that new energy out there and giving them an opportunity to sit in the same seats,’ Michelle said,

Hmm. Is that a swing at George W. Bush, too?

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want a thousand Michelle Obamas leading the country. She was more than enough for me during the two terms of her husband.  She got off on the wrong foot, as far as I am concerned when she admitted out loud to a group in Wisconsin, during Obama’s first run for president, that she was only just now proud of her country because her husband was nominated to run.

“For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback,” she said.

This was uttered by a grown woman who was privileged to experience an Ivy League education and the career rewards that brought to her. She was only “really” proud of America when things went her way.

Frankly, why would she want to run for president anyway? She and her husband enjoy a position of power brought on by the unwavering loyalty of Democrats and specifically, black Americans, which affords them a life of leisure now. The world is their oyster. Upon leaving the White House – which Michelle repeatedly reminded Americans that was built by slaves – she and her husband purchased a fabulous mansion in Washington, D.C.  for $8.1 million and traveled extensively.

The Obamas have signed book deals to the tune of $65 million.  Not bad for government work, right? Now she is free to teach all those up and coming young lefties how to do the same. That’s not good news for any conservative.
