Dylan Ratigan to Martin Bashir: It's okay to criticize Democrats sometimes, you know

To cleanse the palate, a little blue-on-blue fun at MSNBC via the ‘Busters. Ratigan’s attacking from the left so this isn’t quite the heresy that the headline might imply, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying Bashir’s palpable discomfort. In fact, I recommend keeping your eyes on him as Ratigan runs through his shpiel. This is the economic equivalent of Kirsten Powers hammering Democrats for gladhanding Bill Maher while they pretend to be outrageously outraged at Limbaugh’s diatribe over Sandra Fluke. Ratigan’s in the KP role here of principled progressive and Bashir’s in the Bill Burton/David Axelrod role of partisan water-carrier. The difference is, KP doesn’t share a network with those two, which of course is what makes this fun. The best part is Bashir’s dubious “I … sort of follow you, Dylan” at the end, as if Ratigan’s said something so outlandish that it borders on incoherent. Oh well. He was on the spot. That was the best he could do.
