To cleanse the palate, I watched it once not knowing what to expect.
Then I watched it a second time with my eyes covered, peeking through my fingers.
I tried to watch it a third time but had to bail out before the end. The icy hostility is just too painful.
This can’t go on.

What do you do if you’re a producer of this show? Do you try to broker peace between Behar and McCain, now that the cringe factor to their interactions has reached near-fatal levels? Or do you encourage it, relishing the drama it’s adding to the panel exchanges? On the one hand, this petty sniping between Meg and Joy is detracting from the substantive discussions.
On the other hand, it’s way more engrossing than the substantive discussions. What “View” viewer in her right mind would want to miss an hour of this show, knowing that that might be the day Behar turns to McCain or vice versa and says, “Listen, bitch…”?
Anyway, I’m excited to read tomorrow in Page Six about the various meltdowns that were had backstage after this exchange. In the meantime I have an idea for a new panelist the show might consider adding to spice things up further. She has television experience; she keeps up with current events; she’s prone to backstage drama. She’s the perfect fit. And best of all, she’s looking for work. How about it, ABC? She wouldn’t punk out if McCain and Behar were about to throw down and try to play peackeeper like Whoopi here.
