"Get this b**** under control": Joy Behar thinking of leaving "The View" over Meghan McCain?

Rarely do you see a news story whose headline alone is so juicy that it must be blogged.

But it does happen.

I’m compelled to flag this anyway after noting the big confrontation between them yesterday. On the long list of highly publicized feuds involving “View” cast members, this already beats the Rosie/Elisabeth Hasselbeck on-air bickering over 9/11 Truth but remains a distant second behind the legendary Rosie/Trump feud of 2006-07. Which, if we’re being honest, deserves its own wing at the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library.

But the source told DailyMail.com that Behar threw her hands in the air, yelled ‘My God!’ and ‘Get this b***h under control.’

‘If this s**t doesn’t stop I’m quitting this damn show. I can’t take this much more,’ Behar allegedly fumed…

‘I’ve tolerated a lot of s**t on this show but I’m at my wits’ end with this entitled b***h. Enough already! Enough already! I’m not playing nice any longer,’ Behar shouted, despite the studio audience being able to hear it all…

‘I don’t know why she’s so upset,’ McCain reportedly said. ‘I just wanted her to focus on President Bush and not bring Trump into this for once.’

“I just wanted her to focus on the deceased and not bring Trump into this for once” is what every Trump fan in the country said after her eulogy for her father in September.

Watch the exchange if you haven’t yet. It’s understandable that righties would reflexively side with Meg since she’s of the right whereas Behar is (a) a liberal, (b) extremely personally annoying, and (c) devoted to bashing Trump at every opportunity. But McCain was impolite in cutting her off. She could have engaged on the topic instead of throwing “I’m not interested” at her. And it’s not like the crowd for this show isn’t up for opportune Trump-bashing in the guise of literally any other subject. Criticism of POTUS is the surest way to get cheap applause from the “View” audience, as Ana Navarro must remind herself every time she sits down at the table. If nothing else, Behar was giving the people what they want.

Sources were duly dispatched to celebrity magazines to assure them that everything’s fine on the set but it couldn’t hurt to line up a replacement for Behar just in case. Who could they get to fill the role of “brassy underinformed liberal grandma”? Bette Midler would be a pretty sweet get. Would Cher be open to morning TV?
