Even by the usual Trump-filled Sunday-show standards, today’s menu is awfully Trumpy. He’ll be on “Meet the Press,” “This Week,” “Face the Nation,” and “State of the Union” to chat about (what else?) his polls, last night’s SNL appearance, and why a political website he slammed as unreliable on Thursday would suddenly be worth touting on Friday. Will he trumpet Politico’s dubious story about Carson supposedly lying in his youth about receiving an offer from West Point? Carson’s done a solid job of defending himself so far and conservatives on social media have rallied to his side.

If Trump wants to call Carson a liar, he’d be wise to focus on other unsubstantiated stories from his past. And if he does call Carson a liar, he should expect immediate pushback: Carson himself is scheduled to follow Trump on “Face the Nation” today.
Elsewhere, “Fox News Sunday” hosts Chris Christie. Christie’s worth watching right now because his candidacy has reached an unusually volatile moment. His polling in New Hampshire has ticked up and he’s gotten some unusually flattering press this week because of his viral video on drug addiction, but he also took a hard shot from Fox Business when they booted him to the undercard debate. His chances somehow seem to be simultaneously growing and shrinking. Which way does he go now? Does he start attacking the centrists in front of him, like Rubio? Or does he build on the viral vid to try to soften his image? The full line-up is at the AP.
