To cleanse the palate, is this “Iron Man” or “Iron Men”? There … seems to be a lot of them in the last few seconds here. Having partnered Tony Stark with a bunch of co-heroes in “The Avengers,” maybe they couldn’t resist doubling down. Oh well: If you enjoy the eternal superhero plotline of the protagonist being initially defeated by his villainous archrival only to battle back against all odds and save the day, I think you’ll be okay here.

Elsewhere in sci-fi/fantasy franchises, this is happening, guys. I don’t know why it’s happening — the odds of it being schlocky rather than effective are overwhelmingly high — but it is.
