Open thread: Sunday morning talking heads

From one crisis to the next: Mitch McConnell hits the broadcast-network trifecta this morning to explain how he and Joe Biden didn’t solve anything with the fiscal-cliff deal and won’t solve anything with the debt-ceiling standoff either. I’ll be watching him on NBC in case David Gregory decides to illustrate the stakes of hitting the ceiling by producing a live grenade.

Simpson and Bowles will also appear, as is required by federal law whenever the Sunday shows are talking about fiscal issues. The line-up via National Journal:

Meet the Press hosts Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. former Sen. Alan Simpson, former White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles, Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, former Speaker Newt Gingrich and Rep. Xavier Becerra, D-Calif.,

This Week hosts Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., Rep. Joaquin Castro, D-Texas and Rep. Tom Cotton, R-Ark.
