Open thread: Sunday morning talking heads

How slim are the pickings this week? So slim that this guy, who hasn’t mattered politically in at least five years, is the highest-profile guest across the four major shows today. If you want to watch him sell his book and run through the familiar two-step with David Gregory about how the GOP is too radical, then “Meet the Press” is your choice.

If not, no worries. Ninety percent of the chatter on every show this morning will focus on Romney’s humiliation of Obama on Wednesday night, which means we’re in for one of the most enjoyable Sundays in recent memory. Gingrich’s “MTP” showing, in particular, should be chock full of gleeful knife-twisting. The line-up via WaPo:

NBC’s Meet the Press: Arnold Schwarzenegger; Newt Gingrich; Robert Gibbs, Senior Adviser to the Obama campaign; Hilary Rosen, Democratic strategist; Mike Murphy, Republican strategist; Chuck Todd, NBC

CBS’ Face the Nation: David Axelrod, Obama’s senior campaign adviser; Tony LaRussa, manager of the Cardinals; Tommy Lasorda, Dodgers manager; Jane Leavy, author; Michael Gerson, Washington Post; John Fund, The American Spectator; Norah O’Donnell, CBS; John Dickerson, CBS

ABC’s This Week: Robert Gibbs, Obama campaign senior adviser; Ed Gillespie, Romney campaign senior adviser; Bill O’Reilly, Fox News; James Carville, Democratic strategist; Mary Matalin, Republican strategist; Paul Krugman, New York Times; Peggy Noonan, Wall Street Journal; Jonathan Karl, ABC
