Open thread: Sunday morning talking heads

I thought for sure that the Memorial Day weekend Sunday shows would be devoted to a hard look at the war in Afghanistan, especially in light of the coalition death toll having just reached 3,000. Nope. Panetta will appear briefly on ABC and there are a few military guests slated for CNN, but otherwise it’s the usual campaign dreck across the board. Proof positive, I guess, of how little interest the public still has in the war. Or rather, how little interest the network news departments think they have.
