Via Fox News Insider, drop what you’re doing and spend four minutes having your mind blown by the preternatural poise of a teen mom confronted in her home by a would-be killer. I’ve read a bunch of stories this week about what happened to her, including Rich Lowry’s piece today at NRO (from which I’m stealing the headline), but nothing will prepare you for hearing her explain in her own words how coolly she assessed the situation. Bear in mind, she’s 18 years old, her husband died of cancer just one week earlier, and she had not one but two lunatics attempting to break down her door and do who knows what. And yet: “I knew if I screamed I would give my position away in the house. And I wanted to see him first.” Unbelievable.
Exit quotation: “Female participation in target shooting in the U.S. has nearly doubled in the last decade, growing to nearly five million women since 2001.”
