Rubio's victory speech: It's time for ... Change

Something to tide you over while we wait for results from Arizona, where the polls close at 10 p.m. ET. Wish I could give you a longer clip but this is all I can find right now. Do note, though, how the rhetorical strategy changes in a three-way race. Crist, whose careerism and opportunism makes policy almost irrelevant, is angling to paint himself as the free-thinkin’ independent; Rubio, hoping to siphon away the centrists who have driven The One’s approval ratings underwater in Florida, responds by painting himself as the hope and change candidate. Meek, as a Democrat tied to Obama, is … praying for some kind of divine intervention, I guess. I don’t know what his rhetorical strategy will be. He basically doesn’t have one; he’s finished. But anyway, here’s our guy delivering a pep talk for the contest to come. Too bad he didn’t get to use his best line here: “I always knew that I’d have to run against two people who support the Barack Obama agenda. I just didn’t know I’d have to run against them at the same time.”
