The topic is the scandal that’s exploding in the UK over members of Parliament using public money to pay personal expenses — a proper subject for journalistic inquiry, to be sure, but not one well suited to a news outfit that’s wholly funded by taxpayer dollars and which has itself been known to crap money away on nonsense and malfeasance. The MP here takes it a step further, though: Since everyone’s suddenly so interested in wasting public funds, let’s find out how much our very, very important — and state-supported — BBC anchors are bringing home each year.
