Trump posts a scathing Easter message and Melania surfaces

Former President Trump delivered an Easter message long on campaign-style rhetoric and short on traditional holiday pleasantries. His message concluded with “REMEMBER, WE WILL BE BACK.” The message was typed in all caps on his Truth Social account.

“HAPPY EASTER TO ALL, INCLUDING THOSE THAT DREAM ENDLESSLY OF DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF DREAMING ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE, THOSE THAT ARE SO INCOMPETENT THEY DON’T REALIZE THAT HAVING A BORDER AND POWERFUL WALL IS A GOOD THING, & HAVING VOTER I.D., ALL PAPER BALLOTS, & SAME DAY VOTING WILL QUICKLY END MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD, & TO ALL OF THOSE WEAK & PATHETIC RINOS, RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRATS, SOCIALISTS MARXISTS, & COMMUNISTS WHO ARE KILLING OUR NATION, REMEMBER, WE WILL BE BACK!”

Snark about border security and election fraud doesn’t typically end up in a politician’s Easter message but here we are. It was hostile and the all-caps read as if the writer is yelling.

Compare it to Joe Biden’s message. Father Joe, the most abortion-friendly president ever, is full of the peace of God until he starts trashing Republicans in his next public remarks.

Never look to politicians for religious guidance.

One person who did get an Easter message right is Melania Trump. The former first lady has been missing in action lately so it was noted that she tweeted out a simple, perfect holiday message.

I miss Melania.

Trump may or may not “be back” but it looks like Melania is ready to be seen again after laying low during her husband’s arraignment in New York. On the night of his arraignment, Trump delivered remarks from Mar-a-Lago. In the audience were Don, Jr., Eric, and Tiffany Trump to support their father. Absent were Jared and Ivanka, who were in Wyoming for an annual Passover trip, and Melania. Melania’s father was seated in the front row with his grandchildren. Trump’s speech didn’t mention Melania.

“I have a great family and they’ve done a fantastic job and we appreciate it very much. They’ve gone through a lot,” the 76-year-old told around 400 supporters at his Palm Beach, Fla., residence and club.

“I have a son here [Don Jr.] who has done a great job, another son here [Eric] who has done a great job, and Ivanka,” added Trump, referring to three of his four adult children.

“And Barron will be great someday,” the former president went on, shouting out his teenage son with third wife Melania. “He is tall and he is smart.”

Melania was seen having Easter brunch with Trump Sunday. When they walked into the room to a standing ovation from the crowd.

She and the former president walked into Mar-a-Lago’s ornate ballroom to a standing ovation from the crowd, videos posted online showed. The couple sat alone together with red velvet ropes blocking off their large table from the rest of holiday goers.

Melania was seen chatting with Donald Trump, leaning in close to talk with him as they ate. Easter brunch at Mar-a-Lago is a tradition for the couple. Even during Trump’s presidency they would spend the holiday together at the ‘Southern White House.’

Social media users posted pics of the couple in the ballroom together. Mar-a-Lago puts on a lavish Easter brunch for its members with a massive buffet that includes oysters, shrimp and champagne. There’s also an Easter Egg hunt on the club’s grounds for the kids with figures dressed up as the Easter Bunny and other children’s characters.

Trump and Biden could take pointers from Melania about social media. Less anger and phony righteousness, more simplicity.
