Jennifer Sey: "The dividing line in America is no longer between right and left, it is the choice between normal and crazy."

If not now, when? When is it time to stand up and speak up in support of women and women’s spaces? Why are we to be bullied into accepting that the trans agenda is acceptable and normal? It is not normal.

Now is the time to speak up and say that crazy is not normal. Crazy is crazy. It is not normal for a trans athlete to be allowed to compete against women in sports or to share a locker room with female athletes or to share a bathroom, for that matter. Women are entitled to privacy. Women are entitled to their own space.

We know of and applaud Riley Gaines, a young woman athlete who took her own experience with competing against a trans athlete in a college sport and turned it into her mission to save women’s sports. Jennifer Sey is a fifty-something year old woman who was the chief marketing officer, on her way to being the CEO of Levi’s, when she spoke out about her objections to mandates put in place during the pandemic. She was called the Brand President at the time. She was fired for daring to go against the lemmings willingly accepting school closures and mask mandates for school children. She has four children herself. The company asked her to stop speaking out in public comments. She did not. She was offered a $1M payout from Levi’s with the condition she stay quiet about her story. She refused the money. I wrote about this in February 2022.

Sey appeared in interviews on cable television networks. On track to be the next CEO of Levi’s, her career there came to a screeching halt when she was told that it was “untenable” for her to stay. She moved from San Francisco to Denver so that her children could attend classes in person and live as normal a life as possible in Denver.

It is not a surprise now that Jennifer Sey has joined forces with Riley Gaines to speak out on behalf of women in sports. Sey, like Gaines, is a former athlete. She was a national champion gymnast. Sey and Gaines are featured guests at the Women’s Sports Summit, hosted by the Independent Council on Women’s Sports (ICONS), July 21-23. Sey promoted the Summit on her Substack account.

It’s a compelling video and she is absolutely right. For example, who in their right mind thinks that the competition Riley Gaines took part in against Lia Thomas was a fair competition? Perhaps some elitists in the NCAA or on either coast but I guarantee you that the vast majority of Americans looked at that story and said, “That’s crazy.” Imagine your daughter, or granddaughter, or other young women working throughout their lives, developing discipline and putting in the time to be strong and good at their sport. Then, during a college competition, a trans athlete takes the top prize in a race. Simply put, it is not fair. Women will never win when competing against male athletes. It’s science. Whatever happened to following the science?

The only way to stop it is to speak out. Women must do so and so must the men in their lives. There is strength in numbers and it is encouraging to see other young women coming forward to tell their stories. Riley Gaines opened up the opportunity for other young women to feel secure in speaking out. If for no other reason, she should be applauded for that. Gaines is only 23-years-old and she thought she was on the way to dental school when she felt the need to put that part of her life on hold and actively spread the word of what is happening in college sports.

Transgender athletes are not new. Lia Thomas acted like he was a ground-breaking activist, but, no. Thomas did become the first transgender woman to win a national title. That was for the women’s 500-yard freestyle. What a travesty. I use the masculine pronoun with Thomas because he has male genitalia. One of the complaints from the young women was that in sharing a locker room with him, they were exposed to his male genitalia. I’m not referring to a man with a dick as a woman. It’s crazy. And, it is insulting to women. It reduces women to their genitalia as their identity. Putting on women’s clothes and growing his hair long, even taking female hormones, does not magically turn Lia Thomas into a woman. His chromosomes did not change.

In February, Riley Gaines said:

“People are terrified, especially speaking from my experience of talking to other NCAA swimmers specifically. Lia Thomas’ teammates even,” Gaines reportedly said.

“They are told their school has made their stance for them. They are told if they feel uncomfortable seeing male genitalia in the locker room, they should seek counseling resources. They’re told they will never get into grad school if they speak out.

“All of these terrible, awful things that are not true,” she continued. “They are told, of course, that they will be called a bigot and hateful and transphobic, but it doesn’t make you any of those things to acknowledge that there are two sexes, you cannot change your sex and women deserve opportunities.”

If women athletes object, there must be something wrong with them. That is the message. The NCAA has accepted transgender athletes since 2010. Now, thanks to protests and people speaking out, the rules have changed to adopt a sport-by-sport approach.

In April, an article was written about 36 trans athletes who have openly competed in college sports. It mentions two other trans athletes who won national championships – one in track and field and one in bowling. That is 36 men and women who were shut out of a spot on a team or in an individual sport so a transgender athlete could compete. It’s wrong.

What about Title IX? What was that battle all about if now men are elbowing out women on their own sports teams? This won’t stop any time soon. Transgender has taken over the LGBTQ movement and it feels like we’re getting punked. The demented old fool in the White House held a big Pride Month party on the lawn of the White House and was rewarded with a trans woman going topless. There is no respect for tradition, no respect for institutions. None of this is normal. To pretend otherwise, to go along to get along, is wrong. People have to speak up while they can to stop the madness.
