I agree with some things Paul says, and disagree with others, but the truth of the matter, politically, is that his agenda has moved center stage and his people are highly motivated and this is a serious movement that is underestimated and misunderstood by Washington insiders.

Clinton and Albright already made the admission of our involvement.
In return, the Iranians continued to kill Americans.
SteveMG on November 3, 2009 at 10:12 PM
“Clinton and Albright already made the admission of our involvement.
In return, the Iranians continued to kill Americans.”
They didn’t apologize though we just acknowledged so a formal apology from the president would be better. We need to stop threatening the Iranians.
Spathi on November 3, 2009 at 10:19 PM
It’s not my problem that you are semi illiterate/dyslexic..
I said that Ayn Rand and Anton La Vey were great “buddies”, that they worshipped together and that the Satanic Bible is almost a word for word copy of Ayn Rand’s books.
It’s a FACT.
Ayn Rand was a satanist. Deal with it.
MaximusConfessor on November 3, 2009 at 10:19 PM

Ron Paul was not a leader in any means on the conservative front.
ckoeber on November 3, 2009 at 10:25 PM
The Mullahs in Iran don’t hate us because we restored the Shah.
It’s not the US government that organizes protests calling for the “Death to Iran.”
You do know those IEDs killing our people in Iraq and Afghanistan were, in part, supplied by the Iranians?

Coronagold on November 3, 2009 at 10:39 PM
The Mullahs don’t give a damned about Mossadegh or his removal. His political party has been oppressed and arrested by the Mullahs since they came into power.
The record of the Iranian regime since 1979 killing Americans and other citizens started long before Bush came to power. Israelis, Egyptians, Frenchmen, British, Jordanians..on and on….
Bush threatened to remove the regime because the regime has been waging war on their neighbors and our allies through proxies.
Look, you think the Mullahs are the aggrieved party here. I don’t.
SteveMG on November 3, 2009 at 10:41 PM

Rand Paul will win the senate seat in kentucky. Then the American people will have a grand total of six honest and patriotic politicians in congress.
Imagine that, 6 true patriot politicians representing OUR American interests out of 535 members total.
Amazing!
MaximusConfessor on November 3, 2009 at 10:49 PM
Yeah, we know that already. Terrorism is, of course, the deliberate targetting of violence against innocent civilians in order to obtain political goals.
It’s always interesting reading the “history” lessons of Paul supporters. It’s always a recitation of what the US does but never what the other parties do.
It would be like reading a history of the Civil War and reading about the actions only of the North. Or only of the South.
Good day.
SteveMG on November 3, 2009 at 10:49 PM
It’s very disturbing that in a time of fiscal insanity and rampant liberal socialist characters running amok, conservatives would so hate a man whose fight has been for fiscal restraint, lower taxes, and small government. You’d think he’d be a hero on hotair especially with the contempt for big spending liberal RINOs. Yet, the narrative here, at least the majority of the posters who comment on any thread containing his name, is that he is some odious character. I can expect that from the Left. I don’t expect it from the right.

We overthrew a Democratically elected Iranian government to make them live under a dictator who tortured his people into compliance (Bush likes torture too), and we armed Saddam with WMD to use on Iranians.
I can see why they don’t like us.

jdkchem on November 4, 2009 at 12:51 AM
“You’re an idiot and a liar.”
How so? We know Shaw tortured and dominated the Iranians after the CIA overthrow their Democratically elected government just like Bush likes to torture Iraqis and sheep herders and taxi drivers and whoever else ends up to find their way into his prisons.
Spathi on November 4, 2009 at 12:59 AM
Dude, betcha there’s not an Iranian alive today who isn’t begging to have the Shah back! (except for the mullahs, of course).
The Shah might have been rough on his political enemies, but he couldn’t hold a candle to the butchers of the current régime who will hang you on a crane for being “homosexual.”
And no one-No one-has ever provided real proof that our CIA was involved in the Mossadegh coup.
As for your babbling about Bush, here’s a news flash: Bush is out of office.
Meanwhile, The One has increased renditions and Gitmo is still open for business (Thank God!).
Ron Paul is a Jew-hating Neo-Nazi loon and I’m sure his son isn’t any different.
I hope Trey Grayson gets the GOP nod to run for the Senate in KY.

Erick Erickson of Redstate just tweeted I am all in for Rand Paul.
Spathi on November 4, 2009 at 2:32 AM
R
They need a régime change–badly.
If we find out they have nukes and/or hold them responsible for waging war on us, which they’ve been doing in Afghanistan and Iraq, we should at least bomb them real good, but President Hussein Chamberlain won’t do it…
I don’t hold much for Red State.
Not a compelling endorsement for me.
Nice try, you Stormfront moron.
Jenfidel on November 4, 2009 at 3:01 AM

I oppose any Stormfront crap as does Rand Paul. I know you like calling people names who you disagree with like the Littlegreenfootballs website, but most people can see through these ad hominem attacks.

Trey Grayson was a Democrat in 90’s, and was a Clinton delegate for the Democrat presidential election. He crossed over because he thought he could get elected easier as a dem.
You’ll love him.
Spathi on November 4, 2009 at 3:10 AM
Yo Spathi, what’s up man. Getting late, look – even if we were to grant your points, how does fighting yesterday’s enemy keep us alive today? I totally agree with Dr. Paul that military spending, like all spending, must be sut if we are to survive. This we can agree on. I also feel its unwise to champion tough belt-tightening measures for the folks while the Pentagon (big gov) rakes it in. But, the very real levels of waste and fraud in our armed services doesn’t mean that our threats aren’t also very real. And why Iran instead of Native Americans? According to the US Constitution and many legally binging treaties, about 70% of the lower 48 landmass is there’s. Want to make that one up? And its not a diversion, many Indians still want it back and have a case to be made.
abobo on November 4, 2009 at 3:11 AM
It’s the same sinister politics by the modern-day NeoCons. One thing Paul has in common with Ronald Reagan is pushing a message of optimism, while his opponents use hate and divisive politics.
The Dean on November 4, 2009 at 3:12 AM
Dr. Paul is dead on with regards to so much, but he needs to not be so dismissive to the fears of base conservatives. Even if he is correct their all brainwashed by fear mongers, how does stating so bluntly without any sensitivity to very real fears that he claims were manufactured help his cause? Sometimes, style is as important as substance.
abobo on November 4, 2009 at 3:16 AM

Ron Paul is a Constitutional illiterate, economic ignoramus and a supporter of the United Nations war against the Jews as evidenced by his vote on the Goldstone Report yesterday. He does not understand any relevant Constitutional history and his theories have no basis in logic or facts. People that support him do it only from emotion and not intelligence or logic, plus there is always room for Jews haters like Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan in American politics

Anyone who considers Putin to be a great Christian leader, is not to be taken seriously.
But then ConfessorMaximus and his earlier incarnation, StOlaf have already proven that.
MarkTheGreat on November 4, 2009 at 8:12 AM
This from the guy who declares that all Jews are going to hell, as is anyone who isn’t a member of the Orthodox church.
Your view on reality is suspect.
MarkTheGreat on November 4, 2009 at 8:14 AM
Actually, anyone who is NOT aware of the fact that Vladimir Putin is a great Christian leader and has a 90% approval rating in Russia, has been living in a cave and is woefully ill informed. Dude you need to take your head out of the sand and realize that the world is a lot bigger than lubbock texas or wherever you are from.
Vladimir Putin is an Orthodox Christian.
Vladimir Putin has made the Orthodox Church the official religion of Russia again.
Vladimir Putin’s Russia teaches Orthodox Christianity in the schools.
Christians have more freedom and protection in Russia than they do in America. That is a Fact!
Putin charged atheists who made an “art” exhibit desecrating the image of Christ, with insulting the religion of Russia.
Putin stops a gay parade in Moscow.
Thankfully most people around the world are NOT as ignorant as you and actually do some research before saying ignorant things.
What is this a joke or are you in your own weird way trying to insult all Christians? There is not a Christian on earth who does not believe that you don’t need the MESSIAH to be saved!
MaximusConfessor on November 4, 2009 at 9:12 AM
The only way that anyone will be saved is by Jesus Christ the Incarnate God and Messiah!
If you reject Jesus Christ you will go to hell. PERIOD.
