Musharraf calling Silky is very, very hard to believe. I’ll wait for a more credible news source to confirm. There’s something about PMSNBC that makes them untrustworthy.

Edwards is lying.

Would he, if he thought he could get away with it? Yeah, I think so.
But did he, knowing how easily this could be verified or debunked? Less likely, I think.
I was just listening to the news and the way it came across was that Edwards called Mushy. They even quoted some unnamed Silky staffer saying something to the effect of “If the other campaigns had thought of it, they would have done it, too.”
The only way Mushy calling Edwards makes any sense is if Edwards called, didn’t get through, and Pervez called back to tell Silky he wasn’t interested in suing anyone for malpractice.

After watching Muchariff in several TV interviews he probably told Silky to shut up. Would love to hear the tape to find out.

I must admit, I do find it rather odd Musharaff would return a call so quickly (if at all) to a guy with NO job in the US government, and an admittedly long shot at the white house.
He called to see if Edwards thought the “repeat” stage is as important as the label claims it to be.

Maybe he asked Edwards to channel Bhutto – after all he channeled dead babies (who spoke english) didn’t he?
More likely Edwards tried to call Musharaff and Musharaff had one of his (lower-level) staffers call back and say thanks for the condolences – just in the off chance Edwards happens to win….

I think crazyfool has the most practical and probable answer to this one.

So, what did Musharraf say when Silky answered the phone?
“Sorry…I must have dialed the wrong number.”
flipflop on December 27, 2007 at 5:56 PM
Mushy wanted to know if Silky would recommend Breck.
infidel on December 27, 2007 at 5:58 PM
No way. This is a big lie. This did not happen.
It isn’t that it’s so significant, but it would not happen. Silky is lying.
Why on earth when the man’s country is falling apart would he call someone who isn’t involved in any government anywhere? He wouldn’t.
Yeah, Santa called me too and said that Edwards wasn’t going to get any presents next year for being naughty like this.
Edwards is lying.

PAK intel now has the tape of tapes to sink J.E’s campaign…..or threaten to at least. Good move John.

John Edwards? What is he going to do? File a lawsuit against the terrorists?
SoulGlo on December 27, 2007 at 6:52 PM
Maybe Mushariff wanted to know if Silky knew where he could get a good WOT bumper sticker

Just seems odd.
