It’s nice to see someone in College Basketball sans Bobby Knight not being totally PC. The interesting thing about Coach K and Duke, is his style of coaching and players generally doesn’t transcend well to the NBA level. North Carolina and Wake Forest produce the better pros.
A lot of the people who were orgasming over Obama during the past two years in the Raleigh-Durham area are also the ones who were ready to indict the entire Duke University sports program in the 2006 lacrosse team rape case fraud. That both hurt the university in general, and the sports program in particular, as it made it harder for Krzyzewski to recruit players to Duke, give the allegations that it was a hotbed of racism.
With that background, is it a big surprise that if Coach K isn’t exactly ready to climb onto the S.S. Hope and Change with these same people, and if they think Barack’s the bees knees might be a wee bit skeptical of their judgment?
