FOX News Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Roger Ailes added, “Alan is one of the key reasons why FOX News has been such a remarkable success. We’re sad to see him leave the program but we look forward to his ongoing contributions to the network.”
Yes, Roger, liberals hate Fox News, and the rest of us all tune in to see Alan Colmes.
Question:
Where will we find another idiot liberal to take his place?
Answer:
Just about anywhere the country is full of them.

I understand the sentiment, but I feel like I have to give Hannity some props here – nobody went after Obama on his disturbing associations on television like Sean did. He devoted a lot of time and effort to it, and if more people had seen and absorbed the gravity of the information he provided to the public, I don’t think we’d be looking at a president with terrorist ties.
But we are.

Are you kidding me? Every time he showed footage of Obama, he ran it through that “scratched footage” filter and skipped frames. Whenever he showed one of his “dubious associations” they were always in slow motion, off color, and did a slow zoom towards their face. It was like he was trying to induce headaches into his viewers, and hoped that they associated the queasiness caused by the amaturish editing with Obama.

Now that MSNBC has gone to 11 on the leftist propaganda scale. There’s no reason not to make it “Hannity’s America”. Where as 12 years ago, neither Sean or Alan could have carried a show alone, there’s no doubt that Sean can do it from a ratings perspective. Alan is one of the few libs that can debate without exploding into a frothy rage. Good luck with your new gig sir.
As for his replacement … Halle Berry! She doesn’t have to talk, just stand there and look pretty. She did endorse Obama, therefore she’s as qualified to be on the show as Obama is to be president.
Guest: And that’s why I believe that this season of “Entourage” was weaker than last years.
Hannity: True, but what about William Ayers; the racist church he went to for 20 years; you’ve got Sol Alinsky, redistribution of wealth. Also, the French said there were WMD, so did Bill Clinton, the Germans, Hillary Clinton and Harry Reid.
YYZ on November 24, 2008 at 2:25 PM
To paraphrase another poster, they have to be careful. Kirsten is much smarter then Hannity, and Hannity knows it. They have to find someone that can make Hannity look smart, but not offend, that will be the most difficult part. Hannity is probably the weakest debater with a prime time TV show.
Difficult to do, Estrich is smart, but her voice is horrible…Kirsten, too smart, Beckel is too fat and sweaty.
They may just rotate people in for a week at a time.

I would like to see a show that puts people like Rush, Michelle, Laura, Levin, etc., etc., etc. in a round-table format. Maybe two or three at a time. Maybe Sean, and then two of the others. Maybe Colmes can have a show like that for him and his leftist buddies. Then we’ll see what the ratings look like.
I’m not surprised that Alan left. He was clearly outmatched and flat-out wrong. I can’t tell you how many times I emailed him and said “Tell me you don’t believe the stuff you say.” Then, people like Dick Morris, Newt, and Karl Rove would come on and laugh at Alan when he’d ask a ridiculous question. He had to feel demoralized. But he was just WRONG.
Oink on November 24, 2008 at 2:26 PM
Colms is bailing out before he has to defend “The One” and look twice as stupid as he does now, if that were possible.
It was pretty much the Sweetness and Light blog that broke the Rev. Wright stuff, as I understand. But Hannity did beat that drum pretty hard. But he never seemed to delve into the thousand other things about Obama that were off…just stayed on a steady diet of Wright/Rezko/Ayers.
What do I know, though, I sure don’t have the second rated show on fox, so he was doing something correctly ratings wise.

That’s a good point, and one worth repeating. Hannity did a lot of work in the last cycle. Blog readers, etc, may not appreciate him as much as news watchers. He has ratings for a reason.

Hannity and _____________
Powers
Estrich
Doesn’t quite have the ring.
Powers is a pro-life liberal. She actually thinks for herself. That would rattle the liberal establishment.
Colmes was such a dork, he was the perfect foil for Hannity. He was also a great educational tool for me. When I would talk to friends about how Libtards can’t process facts, all I had to do was have them watch an episode and they would understand.

Whenever he showed one of his “dubious associations” they were always in slow motion, off color, and did a slow zoom towards their face. It was like he was trying to induce headaches into his viewers, and hoped that they associated the queasiness caused by the amaturish editing with Obama.

Hannity & Powers baby
Sorry to see Skeletor go, though… I think he and Hannity got along well.
Outlander on November 24, 2008 at 2:06 PM
I stopped watching H&C a looong time ago, too much yelling, and too much stupidity from Skeletor.
I wish him well in his new profession, selling cemetery plots.

I guess now that Obama has won, Colmes figures his work here is done.

Adios, Skeletor. Good luck finding an audience to hear your drivel any place else.

Hannity and Lieberman
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 24, 2008 at 2:17 PM
Never was a fan of ole skull and bones but making Hannity appear intelligent is heavy lifting for a Lib.
KP should get the job. Same moronic Libtard drivel but she looks so much better in a sweater.
DeweyWins on November 24, 2008 at 2:18 PM
There’s a reason his radio show is on at 10 PM.
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 24, 2008 at 2:18 PM
Really? I thought Skeletor might take a Crissy Matthews approach and make it “incumbent upon himself to make sure this presidency is successful”.
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 24, 2008 at 2:19 PM
Colmes is off to fight He-Man and She-Ra.

Skeletor’s new job? Olbermann’s fluffer.
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 24, 2008 at 2:20 PM
Hey, some people have a masochistic side to them. You watch that moron spew his bilge and say “you know, I just haven’t had enough of that tool for one night, let me tune in and hear more…”
JammieWearingFool on November 24, 2008 at 2:20 PM
Now that MSNBC has gone to 11 on the leftist propaganda scale. There’s no reason not to make it “Hannity’s America”. Where as 12 years ago, neither Sean or Alan could have carried a show alone, there’s no doubt that Sean can do it from a ratings perspective. Have KP come in and co-host on 1-2 nights a week for “discussion nights” and have the other 3 nights be a conservative “60 minutes”
phreshone on November 24, 2008 at 2:20 PM
Harry Reid and San Fran Nan? Surely you jest.
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 24, 2008 at 2:21 PM
Tru dat. We all have our crosses to bear.
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 24, 2008 at 2:21 PM
He meant that conservatives enjoy listening the Hannity beat up on Colmes every night.
Illinidiva on November 24, 2008 at 2:21 PM
That’s what came to my mind.
Can’t say I blame Alan on this. He really seems to not have much pull on H&C anymore and he’s been taking it on the chin for a good while now, not that I don’t enjoy watching it, but you know…
CP on November 24, 2008 at 2:22 PM
OH, I didn’t know what it was but heard he was very ill.
Elizabetty on November 24, 2008 at 2:22 PM
Bigger question. When does Shep get reassigned away from the 7pm slot. He would be good following Red Eye.
phreshone on November 24, 2008 at 2:23 PM
Alan is one of the few libs that can debate without exploding into a frothy rage. Good luck with your new gig sir.
As for his replacement … Halle Berry! She doesn’t have to talk, just stand there and look pretty. She did endorse Obama, therefore she’s as qualified to be on the show as Obama is to be president.
Tony737 on November 24, 2008 at 2:23 PM
They may just rotate people in for a week at a time.
right2bright on November 24, 2008 at 2:25 PM
Colms is bailing out before he has to defend “The One” and look twice as stupid as he does now, if that were possible.
abinitioadinfinitum on November 24, 2008 at 2:27 PM
It was pretty much the Sweetness and Light blog that broke the Rev. Wright stuff, as I understand. But Hannity did beat that drum pretty hard. But he never seemed to delve into the thousand other things about Obama that were off…just stayed on a steady diet of Wright/Rezko/Ayers.
What do I know, though, I sure don’t have the second rated show on fox, so he was doing something correctly ratings wise.

Hannity and Sean Penn.
Hannity and Danny Glover.
Hannity and Charlie Sheen.
Hannity and Jennifer Aniston (mmmmmm)
Hannity and (insert name of dumbazz hollywood lib)
These people think they’re all knowing in politics, let ‘em try when they have somebody else there to challenge them for a change.
Tony737 on November 24, 2008 at 2:28 PM
Hannity has his purpose: he can communicate. Cut him some slack.
pseudonominus on November 24, 2008 at 2:29 PM
Good idea – Hannity can always use a little intellectual muscle.
Exit question #2: How long before BOR pisses off Ailes and Beck slides up into primetime
EQ #3: Hannity and Gingrich???

House of Representatives, left side of the aisle, throw a dart, there’s your co-host.

Mark Levin (or Mark Steyn), vs Sean Penn, Bill Maher, Paul Krugman and Tim Robbins.
Just wouldn’t be fair to the panel, though

I’m looking forward to Beck’s new show on FNC. Though, the timeslot may force me to upgrade to DVR.

New show idea: Crowley v. Crowley.
Monica Crowley on the right, Jocelyn Crowley (her sister and Alan Colmes’ wife) on the left.

Hannity and PALIN!!!
LevStrauss on November 24, 2008 at 2:39 PM
That’s a good point, and one worth repeating. Hannity did a lot of work in the last cycle. Blog readers, etc, may not appreciate him as much as news watchers. He has ratings for a reason.
btw, I’m fine with Powers also. Though Beckel isn’t unlikely I would guess.

Ditto. Sean the new Charlie Rose?
Hannity and Levin would be fun. Levin did say the Tee Vee peeps were after him…

Is there such a thing as a nice liberal? How can anyone be consider nice, and a proponent of murdering children in their mother’s womb at the same time?
Kjeil on November 24, 2008 at 3:19 PM
I’m tellin’ ya, Hannity and Bill Clinton would be magical!
Wyznowski on November 24, 2008 at 3:31 PM
I do not think Hannity wants somebody that far to the Nanny State side of the political equation.
Elizabetty on November 24, 2008 at 3:35 PM
Wow.
Hannity and _____________
Powers
Estrich
Doesn’t quite have the ring.
Powers is a pro-life liberal. She actually thinks for herself. That would rattle the liberal establishment.
Estrich’s voice would make me crazy.
Black Adam on November 24, 2008 at 3:50 PM
Colmes was such a dork, he was the perfect foil for Hannity. He was also a great educational tool for me. When I would talk to friends about how Libtards can’t process facts, all I had to do was have them watch an episode and they would understand.
BierManVA on November 24, 2008 at 3:53 PM
Forget Hannity and Powers.
Let Malkin and Powers have their own show, that would surpass Hannity and Colmes ratings.
