It’s a pity that these sort of comments won’t get wide coverage, because the MSM is in the tank for the Messiah, but it’s going to be too outrageous and too public before it’s all over. The Dems could split off a lot of their own base for the next few years if they keep degrading women.

What does natal care have to do with a chromosome 13 issue?
80% of her children were born WITHOUT down’s syndrome.

That’s a winning line of attack. Pregnant women should stay at home.
This is mild compared to some of the things I’ve seen online. These people are completely unhinged over Governor Palin. Un. Hinged.

Perhaps. And maybe Obama will say that Palin shouldn’t have been ‘punished’ with her baby.
wise_man on August 30, 2008 at 10:44 PM
First of all the woman had 4 kids already. I think she may know a thing or two about birthin’ babies. Also, my water broke before labor and all they do at the hospital is try to progress you into labor for like 24-36 hours. I don’t think it’s an emergency, like stat, situation when your water breaks.
Alan Colmes only purpose on this earth is to rudely interrupt guests. Beyond that Colmes has been and continues to be a waste of space (and carbon).
I’ll never forget a brief correspondence with him about ten years ago. His ignorance of US History, World History, and World War II was simply astounding. Everything apparently began in the 1960s for the uncultured simpleton and he’s determined to remain stuck in that era.

One, as already pointed out, Downs is a genetic condition. I can’t believe Colmes is that student or he thinks his readers are and he can pull a fast one.
Two, the doctor is also full of shit. Palin did go directly to the hospital. Apparently, the doc does not live in the real world where it often takes a few hours to get to a hospital. Implying that there was a threat of infection for a delay of only a couple of hours is dishonest.

Here’s the headline & text:
Did Palin Take Proper Pre-Natal Care?
Rogers Cadenhead gives the timeline associated with the birth of her newest child. She had a speech in Dallas and, even after the water broke, continued with her activities, and then boarded a plane for home. She did consult by phone with her doctor.
Still, a Sacramento, Calif., obstetrician who is active in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, said when a pregnant woman’s water breaks, she should go right to the hospital because of the risk of infection. That’s true even if the amniotic fluid simply leaks out, said Dr. Laurie Gregg.

Of course, Alan, had she went to a medical provider who crushed the baby’s head with forceps and vacuumed out the fragments and remaining tissue, she’d be a progressive exercising her reproductive choice, right?
And if during such procedure, the fetus were to emerge live born, Barak Obama would support the right of the physicians to let it die on the table.
But you want to talk about her prenatal care in conformance with the advice of her personal physician.
Just stunning, Alan. Stay classy.

I’m not being cynical or making predictions, but my gut tells me there will be rioting in urban areas. I hope I’m right that we win, but I hope I’m wrong that there will be violence.
Think about it people.
They truly think the Supreme Court stole the election for Bush from Gore in 2000.
They truly think that Ken Blackwell and Diebold took Ohio and thus the election for Bush from Kerry in 2004.
This may be the tipping point when they lose this one.
Maybe they’ll do more than just visit the canadian immigration website this time.
And since the racist rapper is all about the “Obama or Die,” then yes. I think that there will be violence. I was wondering if that would also happen when Kerry lost. I guess that in the end, he wasn’t worth it.
I wouldn’t go as far as stocking up on canned green beans quite yet. But I’m not too optimistic for peace if Obama does lose. Keep in mind. Once Obama loses, he’s not likley to ever be on the ticket again. If previous election history is any guide.
This may be the tipping point when they lose this one.

That has to be the most ignorant comment by anyone I’ve heard in quite some time. Trisomy 21 does not “develop” from lack of prenatal care. The genetic error there at the very start, or even before the start (as in traslocation errors), and it isn’t caused by not eating your Flintstones vitamins either. The moron.
I had to resend this comment as it was rather sweary.
Yeah, Alan doesn’t come right out and say it, but I’ve seen him be smarmy before on TV. I read it as if Alan is hoping people are ignorant about Downs and that he can make it appear that Palin was negligent in her prenatal care and was thus responsible for her baby having Downs.
The last comment I saw there:

Some of you may already know this, but there is some real cr@p that’s been posted by some “progressives” on their forums regarding Trig and the supposedly fuzzy circumstances surrounding his conception and birth and who the real mother might be. Some are even seeing it as a way to derail the McCain presidency.
Just what’s in that Obama koolaid, anyway?
TeeDee on August 31, 2008 at 12:10 AM
I don’t think Alan’s site is used to getting more than 20 hits a day.
What the crap is wrong with these people? I am relatively new to following politics but birthin’ is something I know a good bit about, having birthed 5 living children.
Not that it matters because it isn’t his business but there are several variables involved. It might be that she thought her water broke, wasn’t having contractions so her doctor advised her that heading home was okay. (This happened to me, water breaking isn’t always a big dramatic scene like it is in the movies. Labor doesn’t always follow immediately after membranes rupture either.)
If she was under the care of a midwife, a woman’s choice and all that, they tend to let moms go longer with ruptured membranes provided there is minimal risk of infection.
All that to say, what the hell should it matter? These same people would be giving her a medal if she had decided to abort this precious little one. I’m the mother of a child with a birth defect that many people would abort for so this really sticks in my craw.
proudarmywifeAK on August 31, 2008 at 12:22 AM

And Chelsea doesn’t look a thing like Bill. Talk about a lack of pre-natal care.
A very special kind of despicable prejudice is saved for anybody liberals think should be liberal and aren’t. Any feeling of decency is lost and frothing at the mouth takes on cosmic proportions, in fact it causes a liberal’s right brain to eat their left brain for lunch.
BTW Alan slinging mud at Palin for her Downs child doesn’t square well with supporting candidates who believe infanticide is the same as depo provera.
Alan Colmes is afflicted with the incurable *Alan Comb Downer Syndrome.
*Alan Comb Downer Syndrome is a disease that tazors the brain when the victim sees a more beautiful competitor, (in this case a television broadcastor).

Also, my water broke before labor and all they do at the hospital is try to progress you into labor for like 24-36 hours. I don’t think it’s an emergency, like stat, situation when your water breaks.
Considering that I just went through this, I can answer this from experience. When I called the hospital to let them know my water broke, they told me to take my time and let hubby pack everything, then to call them to let them know I was on my way. Then my doctor gave me the option of staying and starting the induction process or going home and letting nature take its course, letting me know that there was a risk of infection if I took option B. We took the first option, and my son is healthy.
I can’t access the article in question, but it sounds like Colmes knows nothing about birthin’ no babies.
Question: Will it be a rhetorical or a physical slap in the face that Alan receives for this slander? Or both?
Sean and the staff should load the guest list with women this week, just so we can watch Alan cower in fear anytime a hand is raised.

Does anyone understand why Fox employees this useless (idiot) waste of carbon with feces for grey matter?
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on August 31, 2008 at 9:08 AM
The link isn’t working. I get a 404 error message, imagine that. Does anyone have another source? I’d like to read what he said. Thanks.
Colmes is a simpleton. His comments are so predictable and mindless that he sounds like a broken record. Tedious. I quit watching H&C a couple of years ago, but still listen occasionally to Hannity on his afternoon show.
Technical issues
August 31st, 2008, 1:18 AM EDT
As some of you may (or may not) have noticed, Alan.com has been intermittently going up and down for the past couple of hours. We’re working with our hosting provider to determine what the problem is–something, somewhere, is overloading our server, and we’re waiting to hear back from the system administrator to see if they can help us determine what the issue is.
In the meantime, unfortunately, we’ve disabled the chat stream since it’s possible that it is overtaxing the database. Once we’re able to figure out what the culprit is, we’ll re-enable it (or some alternative).
If you notice anything that seems particularly strange, or if you get any error messages, please feel free to leave them as comments on this post–they may be helpful clues.
Thanks for bearing with us!
Um…no. We know/he knows exactly what it was, and now he’s lying to cover his tracks. Naturally, I’m shocked…shocked, I tell you.
James on August 31, 2008 at 9:16 AM
Apparently, this isn’t the first wade through the gutter for Alan Colmes. Look how he has characterized Palin’s oldest son, Track:
Yeah, that’s why I went to the home page and found the ‘explanation.’
James on August 31, 2008 at 9:34 AM
James on August 31, 2008 at 9:34 AM
There were a lot of people over there last night trashing Colmes site. The “explanation” you copied was put up by the admin long before Colmes pulled the Palin post.
Anyway, almost all of the comments there were somewhat insulting to Colmes.
It looked to me that most of his posts had about 20 comments. The scummy post about Palin had at least 250 comments.
jaime on August 31, 2008 at 9:47 AM
Hmmm…it seems that Colmes was even successful at getting the Google cache stricken of this post. Can’t even find it there.
I tried the link this morning, got a 404 error. Read Colmes’s puerile crap in a comment above.
Was going to leave a comment over there, but finally gave up in disgust. There is no point. Anyone who would say such scurrilous things wouldn’t understand anything critical directed at him.
Like Obama himself, the outpouring of filth from his sycophants (Colmes, DU, Kos, Huffington, on and on, ad nauseum) is more than merely an amusing sign of degeneracy.
It is frightening. These people make money from their hate, people listen to them (and the simple-minded among the listeners believe what they say), and they have a vote.
I would have a hard time living with myself if I said what these people say. And if he were alive, my father would beat the living daylights out of me for saying such things.
Where were these slimeballs’ parents when they could/should have taught their spawn about basic human decency?
As I said over at the site before it went down, the fact that the Dems feel they have to stoop this low proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that McCain’s pick of Palin as VP was absolute freakin’ genius.
inmypajamas on August 31, 2008 at 10:36 AM
I don’t like the Fred Flinstone & Gollum Show, but I might actually watch it if they turned it into Hannity & Powers.

Sarah should just start picking out drapes for her office if this keeps up.
It’s a pity that these sort of comments won’t get wide coverage, because the MSM is in the tank for the Messiah, but it’s going to be too outrageous and too public before it’s all over. The Dems could split off a lot of their own base for the next few years if they keep degrading women.

I suppose Alan thinks everything would be better if Palin had just killed the baby before birth.
jgapinoy on August 30, 2008 at 10:41 PM
What does natal care have to do with a chromosome 13 issue?
80% of her children were born WITHOUT down’s syndrome.

I thought the same thing of him too.

wise_man on August 30, 2008 at 10:44 PM

FiveWays on August 30, 2008 at 10:49 PM
One, as already pointed out, Downs is a genetic condition. I can’t believe Colmes is that student or he thinks his readers are and he can pull a fast one.
Two, the doctor is also full of shit. Palin did go directly to the hospital. Apparently, the doc does not live in the real world where it often takes a few hours to get to a hospital. Implying that there was a threat of infection for a delay of only a couple of hours is dishonest.

Seems like a new “Palin fact” with Alan Colmes as the subject would be in order. Can’t think up anything creative right now.
Maybe something along the lines, in the same spirit of “As we know, Sarah Palin’s moose kills show evidence of blunt force trauma. Alan Colmes head and shoulders would have been mounted on the wall, but taxidermists aren’t that skilled.”

I wouldn’t go as far as stocking up on canned green beans quite yet. But I’m not too optimistic for peace if Obama does lose. Keep in mind. Once Obama loses, he’s not likley to ever be on the ticket again. If previous election history is any guide.

Chakra Hammer,
At 11:04 PM above, I cut and pasted his post.
Yeah, Alan doesn’t come right out and say it, but I’ve seen him be smarmy before on TV. I read it as if Alan is hoping people are ignorant about Downs and that he can make it appear that Palin was negligent in her prenatal care and was thus responsible for her baby having Downs.

Loxodonta on August 31, 2008 at 12:20 AM
Trig is the daughter’s baby?
Ok, let’s just stop and think about that for a second… the GOVERNOR’S daughter has a baby, and the hospital staff covers for her? The mind reels at the ignorance.

Alas, in today’s schools, too often a sad truth.

Same here. On both statements.
soundingboard on August 31, 2008 at 1:08 AM
Good God. What is wrong with these people and the ridiculously absurd paranoid fantasies?
Honestly, I wonder what Hannity will say to Colmes about this.
Queasy on August 31, 2008 at 1:09 AM
Send a copy of this to Hannity.
Pronto.
And make sure his inbox is flooded. I want him bitchsmacking Alan on Monday.
Sakaki on August 31, 2008 at 1:11 AM
I heard from a reliable source that Alan Colmes looks like he does because when he was young, his father set fire to his face, then stomped it out with a pair of golf shoes.
jaime on August 31, 2008 at 1:14 AM
Chelsea has a round face and large round eyes like neither Bill or Hill and big teeth like her mother.
And I’ll speculate any time I so choose thank you.
Speakup on August 31, 2008 at 1:15 AM
That’s a pregnant woman or my name isn’t Orville Reddenbacher.
ronsfi on August 31, 2008 at 1:30 AM
Alan never crawled out of the gutter in the first place. How about this?
Guardian on August 31, 2008 at 1:31 AM
This is what women can expect in politics from the Democrats. Exponential sexism and really weird, unhinged attacks.

Do we get free popcorn now?
MB007 on August 31, 2008 at 1:43 AM
Dude, Karl is Triggs FATHER!!
I read it on DU, AND KOS, so like, thats um, DOUBLE Conformation, and that makes it truff!!
(so if this comes out tomorrow, you all know who started it)
JarvisW on August 31, 2008 at 1:47 AM
Oh and he got the daughter pregnant. BUT they transfered the child to Sarah, in order to um…
RON PAUL!!
Or something.
JarvisW on August 31, 2008 at 1:48 AM
Sure do. Just head down to any local grocery store and tell the cashier that Orville Reddenbacher himself said you get a free lifetime supply of popcorn.
Manga!
ronsfi on August 31, 2008 at 1:53 AM
Apparently, this isn’t the first wade through the gutter for Alan Colmes. Look how he has characterized Palin’s oldest son, Track:

MB007 on August 31, 2008 at 1:59 AM
Unbelievable.
T J Green on August 31, 2008 at 2:17 AM
Oh it’s very believable coming from a Dim.
Guardian on August 31, 2008 at 2:28 AM
That low even for a two-bit douchebag like Colms.
How do these people live with themselves? What kind of demented, twisted minds come up with this stuff?
SuperCool on August 31, 2008 at 2:36 AM
I think it’s time for Colmes to go. Give his spot to Ferraro or whoever else happens to be standing around. I’m not watching any show with him on it.
Ronnie on August 31, 2008 at 2:41 AM
Ronnie:
I’d much rather see KP every day, than Ferraro.
JarvisW on August 31, 2008 at 2:54 AM
KP?
Ronnie on August 31, 2008 at 2:56 AM
These post from Alan Colmes’ comments section say it all.

They’ll do and say anything – anything – to avoid being exposed as socialists. Would almost be high comedy if it weren’t so bloody dangerous.
Halley on August 31, 2008 at 3:20 AM
I don’t see how this guy should keep his job after this. Give him the boot, this is lower than low and is utterly despicable. Seriously, I he shouldn’t come in to work on Monday, he’d be better suited with the likes of MSNBC.
El_Terrible on August 31, 2008 at 3:23 AM
John McCain has made the right choice. Liberal democrats/secular progressives are working overtime in trying to invent anything to smear Sarah “Barracuda” Palin. I’m surprised they haven’t sent a group of “journalists” to Wasilla and Juneau on a “fact-finding mission” to dig up dirt on the mayor/governor.
eigafan on August 31, 2008 at 3:34 AM
Alan is scum. I haven’t watched anything he’s been on in years.
Oh, believe you me, they’re on their way. They’ve been up a few days already, going through everything they can get their hands on. The attacks are going come fast and furious.
jaleach on August 31, 2008 at 3:50 AM
Considering that I just went through this, I can answer this from experience. When I called the hospital to let them know my water broke, they told me to take my time and let hubby pack everything, then to call them to let them know I was on my way. Then my doctor gave me the option of staying and starting the induction process or going home and letting nature take its course, letting me know that there was a risk of infection if I took option B. We took the first option, and my son is healthy.
I can’t access the article in question, but it sounds like Colmes knows nothing about birthin’ no babies.
ScoopPC11 on August 31, 2008 at 6:36 AM
Has anyone snagged the article and saved it somewhere? The link produces a 404 error now. This must have been a doozy, and someone took down the link.
flipflop on August 31, 2008 at 6:55 AM
Its a short one, and is posted above.

Question: Will it be a rhetorical or a physical slap in the face that Alan receives for this slander? Or both?
Sean and the staff should load the guest list with women this week, just so we can watch Alan cower in fear anytime a hand is raised.
meci on August 31, 2008 at 9:01 AM
I guess Alan scrubbed his site.
I posted several responses on Cadenhead’s site (the guy Alan linked to who started this mess), if you want to read them or post your own. They’re under David S.
By the way, Cadenhead realized what was happening and said he was being invaded by Malkinites and linked this thread.
fossten on August 31, 2008 at 9:05 AM
Alan Colmes is a detestable little troll surrogate of the Dumbocrat party.
Curiously (not really), the “technical issue” seems to have been removed from his sight. Could it have been bordering on slander?
Does anyone understand why Fox employees this useless (idiot) waste of carbon with feces for grey matter?
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on August 31, 2008 at 9:08 AM
The link isn’t working. I get a 404 error message, imagine that. Does anyone have another source? I’d like to read what he said. Thanks.

Tim_B on August 31, 2008 at 9:13 AM
Colmes is a simpleton. His comments are so predictable and mindless that he sounds like a broken record. Tedious. I quit watching H&C a couple of years ago, but still listen occasionally to Hannity on his afternoon show.
KP would be a big improvement.
petefrt on August 31, 2008 at 9:14 AM
Oh, this is rich:
Um…no. We know/he knows exactly what it was, and now he’s lying to cover his tracks. Naturally, I’m shocked…shocked, I tell you.
James on August 31, 2008 at 9:16 AM
Good grief. Get a load of this:
You know when the libs get hysterical that you’ve hit a home run.
petefrt on August 31, 2008 at 9:23 AM
He took it down. Here’s where the link leads now:Error 404 – Not Found
petefrt on August 31, 2008 at 9:30 AM
Yeah, that’s why I went to the home page and found the ‘explanation.’
James on August 31, 2008 at 9:34 AM
There were a lot of people over there last night trashing Colmes site. The “explanation” you copied was put up by the admin long before Colmes pulled the Palin post.
Anyway, almost all of the comments there were somewhat insulting to Colmes.
It looked to me that most of his posts had about 20 comments. The scummy post about Palin had at least 250 comments.
jaime on August 31, 2008 at 9:47 AM
Hmmm…it seems that Colmes was even successful at getting the Google cache stricken of this post. Can’t even find it there.
flipflop on August 31, 2008 at 10:10 AM
MrScribbler on August 31, 2008 at 10:21 AM
As I said over at the site before it went down, the fact that the Dems feel they have to stoop this low proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that McCain’s pick of Palin as VP was absolute freakin’ genius.
inmypajamas on August 31, 2008 at 10:36 AM
I don’t like the Fred Flinstone & Gollum Show, but I might actually watch it if they turned it into Hannity & Powers.
