Convicting Alejandro Mayorkas, Dan Goldman vs. John Kennedy edition

Sen. Schumer doesn't want this trial. Apparently, Rep. Goldman doesn't want it either. Sen. Kennedy explains why it's needed later in his speech. Sen. Kennedy explains it by saying "It's not about the evidence. It's not about the law. It's not about the process. It's not about, but it should be, about 250 years of precedent and history. It's about raw, gut politics. Some of my colleagues in this body don't want us to talk about the border in an election year and we all know that. You know that. I know that. Everyone watching knows that. The American people know that. They may be poor under President Biden but they aren't stupid. They can see that."

Then Sen. Kennedy finished off the Democrats by saying "Sometimes, the majority means that all of the fools are on the same side." BINGO! That's why we have a Bill of Rights. Let's be exceptionally clear about this. Alejandro Mayorkas appropriated to himself the authority to change laws that were written and passed by Congress, then signed by multiple presidents. How dare he attempt that. Secretary Mayorkas doesn't have the authority to do that any more than a president has the authority to appropriate money or set budgets.
