Phase three: Wondering if, perhaps, universal health care might cost a bit more over time than our “budget conscious” leaders are letting on. Phase four: Feeling annoyed by cheap rhetorical devices that used to seem high-minded or “post-partisan.” Phase five: Religiously watching Glenn Beck.
