Drew Brees has the 3rd-rated passing offense and Pittsburgh's secondary is full of holes, but most of their injured players will be coming back today, including Troy Polamalu. … I'm starting Ben Roethlisberger because the Saints are 23rd against the pass, but they're also 23rd against the run, too, and they're worse on the road. … Jazz: The Saints visit the Steelers this week, (1:00 FOX) and while New Orleans was originally forecast to be Superbowl bound this season, this looks like yet another mountain they can't climb…

NY Jets at Miami - These teams are facing a Week 3 identity crisis, having both lost to one good opponent and beaten another, although perhaps the Vikes aren't as good as we first thought. … Under these conditions, it might seem dangerous to make predictions for today's NFL games, but if the Steelers can have a two-game winning streak without a quarterback, I can at least take a flier on a half-dozen games before I get a half-dozen cups of coffee in me. … I'm barely conscious after staying out later for my 30-year reunion than I did for my senior prom, and I'll be traveling home today and hoping to catch up on my sleep deficit…

They turn the ball over, make too many mental mistakes, and in general look like the best team without a win in the league ... which isn't hard to do, since they're the only team without a win. … Cowboys at Vikings - Warren Sapp calls this the "Dead Man's Bowl," because whichever 1-3 team loses this game should make plans for watching the playoffs on TV. The Vikings have a controversy with Brett Favre and his alleged sexting of a New York Jets employee during his tenure there, which will get addressed later this week by the Commish. … The Browns have lost both of their road games, while the Steelers have managed to go 3-1 without their franchise player, thanks to a mostly-great performance from the Steel Curtain defense and some gut-check play by backup Charlie Batch…

Dallas is 2-3, but they're 2-1 at home with the Broncos their only loss in Big D. RGIII might have a shot against the worst-ranked passing defense in the league, but Washington's road win against Oakland last week won't be the start of a streak. … Maybe the shutdown should sideline the Barrycaders, who are off to a 1-3 start, and now have to take on a Dallas team that very nearly shocked Peyton Manning and the Broncos last week. … (Denver hosts the winless Jaguars, and Kansas City hosts 2-3 Oakland.)
