A survey on American views on patriotism shows that the schism between liberals and conservatives extends to what we eat and watch on TV.

The study by the American Culture and Faith Institute showed that Democrats put their own political party first in the list of groups they found most “patriotic.” Conservatives listed the National Rifle Association as their No. 1 choice.

The liberals and conservatives answering the survey seemed to have in mind some of the most contentious issues of the past few years when assessing the patriotism of certain groups.
