The Caprock Academy Board of Directors voted 3-1 to allow a little girl who shaved her head to return to school. The story gained national attention after her bold move got her kicked out of class.

The school’s dress code policy states that students are not allowed to have a shaved head. In an executive session on Tuesday night, the board voted to allow and exception for what they call “an extraordinary cause worthy of our highest regard.”…

“She didn’t shave her head to be a part of a gang or a rebel,” says Grand Junction mother of two, Corrina Shirley. “She shaved her head to show her friend that she wasn’t alone.”
