George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, are expected to return to the White House later this month to be honored by President Barack Obama with the unveiling of their official portraits that will hang at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue…

The ceremony, which will be the former president’s first public visit to the White House in over two years, is sure to draw lots of attention given that it’s an election year and that Bush informally endorsed Obama’s GOP rival, Mitt Romney, earlier this week.

It could also provide an interesting interaction between Bush and Obama, whose re-election campaign continues to remind voters of the economic troubles the Democrat inherited when he took over from Bush.
