“(Voters) see Barney Frank as representative of what’s wrong in Washington — as representative of the type of bad leadership we’ve had,” Bielat told the cheering crowd. “Here in the 4th District, we have a chance to speak on behalf of the entire nation.”
Romney flew into Boston to boost Bielat on election eve in one of several stops the former governor has made nationwide in his bid to help the GOP wrest control of Congress. With the crowd chanting “Go, Sean, Go!” and “Retire Barney Frank,” Romney said today’s election will be a referendum on single-party rule.
“This race is about accountability,” Romney said. “No one is singularly more responsible for the financial meltdown than Barney Frank.”
