“They can push for repeal; they’re just not going to get it,” said Tom Davis, former chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee. “I think there are probably better targets for Republicans.”…

“Republicans should hang their head in shame that we didn’t offer and go down fighting on serious tort reform and other measures,” said California Rep. Darrell Issa, who said there’s “nothing” Republican lawmakers can do to stop the bill once it becomes law. “More should have been done on the Republicans’ watch.”
