A Closer Look: Cultural divides, the Walk for Life, pro-life movement in 2018, and more!

Once again, I get to step outside the box and guest host on Relevant Radio’s A Closer Look from 6-7 pm ET today! My friend Sheila Liaugminas is in Rome all week, and I will fill in for her Monday through Friday this week. The Catholic talk-radio network is heard nationwide on the air after its merger with Immaculate Heart Radio, as well as online and through their free mobile app that plays live and podcasted shows.

Today’s guests include:

  • A grave disconnect has emerged between the elite cultural centers in the US and the vast populations outside which they serve. Salena Zito, CNN and NY Post contributor and Washington Examiner reporter, covers this divide better than anyone. We’ll take a look at one Mississippi bank’s efforts to free the rural poor from cycles of debt, profile a rust-belt Democrat in Rep. Tim Ryan, and why politicians have lost touch with voters while hewing closer to lobbyists.
  • Penny Nance, president of Concerned Women for America, discusses what’s next in the pro-life movement in a contentious electoral landscape for 2018.
  • Eva Muntean, Organizer for the Walk for Life West Coast, will update us on that event and the efforts to continue the momentum from Friday’s March for Life

We will also take your calls at 1-888-914-9149You can also listen on the Relevant Radio app no matter where you are in the world, so download it now. I’ll look forward to talking with you!
