Video: Where are the jobs?

Republicans plan to keep the pressure on Barack Obama during the August recess, especially on jobs. House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) put together this relatively short and punchy video, reminding Obama that his economic policies have utterly failed to generate significant job growth and have left the US on the precipice of another recession. With the jobless numbers hitting tomorrow, McCarthy wants to highlight the administration’s poor track record and failed Obamanomics:

McCarthy’s office accompanies the video with this statement:

House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (CA-22) released the following video : “Mr. President, Where are the Jobs?” There have been a lot of nice speeches about jobs. Now it’s time for speeches to stop and actions to begin. The President said it would be the “Recovery Summer” last year, but when you look at entrepreneurship over the last twelve months it’s been the lowest in a decade. It’s time to read the data, stop the speeches, and take action that creates jobs, empowers entrepreneurs and gets this country working again. Now is a time for action, not political posturing.

Earlier today, I meant to poll Hot Air readers on their predictions for tomorrow’s report. I’ll just have to pivot now to ask two questions — what will the jobless rate be tomorrow, and how many net jobs will be added? My prediction is 9.3% and 40,000 jobs added, while economists say 9.2% and 85,000. Take the polls:
