To cleanse the palate, I’m considerably warmer to the project after seeing this than I was after the first trailer nearly a year ago. It’s perfectly cast, and even by Baz Luhrmann’s standards, there’s a lot of eye candy onscreen. Oddly, I think I’ll be more intrigued to see it if the reviews are bad than if they’re good. How does a film about this book, that looks like this, with actors this prominent, fail to work? But then, I felt the same way after seeing the “Prometheus” trailer and we all know how that turned out. The less said, the better.

If you don’t go see it, they’re just going to end up giving you more superhero movies, you know. Or worse.
