Doubtful. But it’s Friday, baby, so anything goes!

For the record, I think Patterico has a fair point. Read the quote and make up your own mind; in the context provided, her use of “Jewish” does sound gratuitous and pejorative.

Elsewhere, Mike Krempasky calls AC a “detestable harpy” for what she said to John Hawkins about fragging Murtha. And Michael Smerconish and Debbie Schlussel weigh in on Scarborough Country about the extent to which Coulter hurts the cause.

Update: Some of our readers insist that the sentence in “Godless” that follows the one quoted by Patterico disproves his theory. Here’s the whole passage:

Liberals use the word science exactly as they use the word constitutional.

Both words are nothing more or less than a general statement of liberal approval, having nothing to do with either science or the Constitution. (Thus, for example, the following sentence makes sense to liberals: President Clinton saved the Constitution by repeatedly ejaculating on a fat Jewish girl in the Oval Office.) The core of the Judeo-Christian tradition says that we are utterly and distinctly apart from other species.

Because she respects the Judeo-Christian tradition, the theory goes, she can’t have anything against Jews. As I said above: I don’t think she has anything against Jews, but I also think that’s an exceptionally weak argument in light of, say, the last thousand years of European history.

Other commenters think it’s preposterous that describing someone’s ethnicity accurately could constitute racism. So I’ll repeat my response to them below: Imagine some lefty blogger wrote, “Right-wing bloggers disgust me, especially that annoying filipina Michelle Malkin.” No problem there? Spidey sense not tingling at all?

Update: Reader David M. e-mails to say that someone’s defaced AC’s Amazon page.

Update: Another reader points out that Coulter has used rhetoric like this before. From her column about Jeff Gannon:

Press passes can’t be that hard to come by if the White House allows that old Arab Helen Thomas to sit within yards of the president.
