Trump’s bodyguard: I rejected Russian offer to ‘send five women’ to Trump’s Moscow hotel room in 2013
Keith Schiller was Donald Trump’s bodyguard in 2013 when Trump traveled to Moscow for the Miss Universe pageant. During congressional testimony this week, Schiller said that a Russian offered to send 5 women to Trump’s room and that he declined the offer. From NBC News:
After a business meeting before the Miss Universe Pageant in 2013, a Russian participant offered to “send five women” to Donald Trump’s hotel room in Moscow, his longtime bodyguard told Congress this week, according to three sources who were present for the interview.
Two of the sources said the bodyguard, Keith Schiller, viewed the offer as a joke, and immediately responded, “We don’t do that type of stuff.”
The two sources said Schiller’s comments came in the context of him adamantly disputing the allegations made in the Trump dossier, written by a former British intelligence operative, which describes Trump having an encounter with prostitutes at the hotel during the pageant. Schiller described his reaction to that story as being, “Oh my God, that’s bull—-,” two sources said.
The offer was made in the morning after a business meeting. Later, Schiller says he related the comment to Trump and they laughed about it:
That night, two sources said, Schiller said he discussed the conversation with Trump as Trump was walking back to his hotel room, and Schiller said the two men laughed about it as Trump went to bed alone. Schiller testified that he stood outside Trump’s hotel room for a time and then went to bed.
In January, the Daily Caller reported a very similar version of this story, identifying the person who made the comment as Russian pop star Emin Agalarov:
A reporter for a major news outlet asked an adviser to Donald Trump about memos saying the New York businessman was involved in an orgy in Russia back in fall of 2015, according to an interview the former adviser gave to The Daily Caller Friday…
The former adviser said he told the Politico reporter at the time that “by chance” he knows the orgy claim is not true. He said that when Trump visited Moscow in 2013, Russian pop star Emin Agalarov told Trump’s head of security Keith Schiller that he was going to send up prostitutes to Trump’s room.
Schiller shot down the plan, and they put people outside of Trump’s hotel room to make sure nothing happened, according to the former adviser. Emin’s management did not return a request for comment.
The Daily Caller has a follow-up today noting that Schiller’s story matches the one they reported in January; however, the new story still does not identify their source for the January story. It could be Schiller describing what happened in the 3rd person or it could be someone else entirely. In any case, the stories seem to match up pretty closely.
One more wrinkle via this CNN report. Apparently, Schiller told investigators that the person who made the offer was not Emin Agalarov but someone who was with him.
